What's Skeletown? Why, it's simply one the infinities of pocket prisons that make up the languishing land of Purgatory.
In Skeletown, animated skeletons play at the cycles of life, clinging to the idea they're still alive. They eat stone loaves and mend their ever-tearing clothes. It is quite a sight to see a skeleton sigh in faux-satisfaction as wine pours past their jawbone to splash through their ribcage and on to the floor.
Unfortunately, flesh and blood folks belie the truth of the skeletons' situation. Skeletown citizens will violently remove any threat to their vaguely comforting delusion...
"Skeletown, Purgatory" is a Level 3 Adventure for Simple DeeEnDee's Sisters of Moonlight Remembered setting. Though it could be easily slotted into any OSR rule-set/setting.
33 Rooms, 51 NPCs, lots of weird sadness, available in epub and pdf formats.
