Easy to read and very affordable! So helpful for my learning!
Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2025I wasn’t sure about this author it was very affordable and it wasn’t super popular and didn’t have many reviews but I must say I’m so glad I purchased this book. I have learned about machine learning concepts but I forgot some things and wanted a small concise book I can reference and this has EVERYTHING and MORE of what I need to know for data science and data analysis.
I included many photos because I’m one of those people that likes to see what would be in the book to make sure it’s useful to me.
In the back he included a link for video tutorials for like regression, doing k-nearest and k-clustering and decision trees. Also included a list of other resources for similar topics to further your reading.
I wouldn’t say this is for beginners I feel like it’s more of a crash course for people who generally know this stuff like myself and just need a bit of refresher on what something is or how to do it. If you want a step by step guide showing you exactly what to do and then implementing it like in a project this is not that. This more so just covers the concepts to teach you ABOUT it but not actually APPLYING it to a project throughout the book. If that makes sense. I’ve read other books that build on a project to take what you learn and use it so you will have a finished project by the end of the book.
This is something if you need to reference for a specific thing you can flip to that chapter and look at it without needing to know what’s it’s previous chapters. Also I like the little short quizzes at the end of each chapter that’s nice.
But if u just want to learn about machine learning and then get other books to go along with this that might be more detailed and apply the concepts in here it’s a very helpful and easy to read book that I think is worth it for such an affordable price.

The machine learning and deep learning of AI have exploded. This book will help us.
Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2023Thanks to ChatGPT, the machine learning and deep learning worlds of AI have exploded in our world. This book begins the understanding we all need of these probabilistic systems that can fool the Imitation Game and us, but are not the saviors or destroyers of our world. Humans in the loop are essential, so we should not be conned out of our responsibilities.
This demands our engagement and understanding, as the builders and vendors of these systems may very well push us, for their extreme profit, to accept these systems long enough for them to become rich and move somewhere there is no extradition...

Accessible entrance to machine learning
Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2023I really like this book because everything is explained clearly and it assumes only basic previous knowledge. I was struggling to find a book that clearly and simply explained complicated machine learning concepts, and this is definitely a good start! I will definitely be using it as a reference moving forward. I would recommend this book to anyone new to machine learning and who finds other "starting" resources overwhelming.

Machine Learning for Absolute Beginners
Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2023This book was clear and concise with the use of ML program examples and the breakdown of each line item. Most books for beginners, blindly assume that individuals have a fundamental understanding of all aspects of programming and mull over key teaching points. This book was perfect and I highly recommend it it to actual beginners.

Great intro book
Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2023After reading the first few chapters I knew this was the book for me. It explains clearly and simply how machine learning works. Although there is some math, it is not too hard to understand. The author carefully builds from one topic to the next, gradually leading the reader how to use Python to develop programs using these strategies.

Good introduction and referrence material
Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2023I have been bouncing around this ebook for some time trying to absorb as much as possible, and it's helped me to understand machine learning a lot. The author is good about guiding the reader towards other relevant peripheral knowledge. I recommwnd this to beginners as a good place to start, but for me, it's keeper as referrence material.

Reviewed in Spain on April 7, 2021Very useful to start to learn the basic Machine Learning concepts. With real examples and the "Math" part it's explained step by step and what is the meaning of all used symbols in the functions etc. Not to you implement, but it's aimed to you understand what are you looking for when you have an algorithm function in front of you.
The Quiz parts also allow to consolidate the important parts of the chapters.

The title phrase, "for Absolute Beginners" is what attracts me to this content, and I have not been dissappointed.
