Without a standard process or tool, reporting bugs can be slow and error-prone. Incomplete reports often lead to delays and repeated communication between teams. Bug Capture simplifies this by letting anyone record screen sessions with detailed technical logs. It creates shareable bug reports that help engineers debug faster, regardless of the reporter’s technical skill.

Start a Bug capture session
Perform the following steps to initiate a bug capture session for the URL opened in your browser:
Open the web page where the bug occurs.
Click the Testing Toolkit icon in the Chrome toolbar.
Select Bug Capture from the toolkit menu
A recording will be initiated for the current tab with the bug. Start performing the steps to recreate the bugged scenario.
Once you have captured the steps, stop the recording. A Bug Capture page will open up displaying the recording of your session along with other details. Click Download report to download the bug report in a .zip format.
