Sound quality: Marshall's Emberton had Good overall sound quality. Bass has good impact, is somewhat prominent and boomy, and the deepest bass is lacking. Midrange is fairly even but is somewhat hazy, and a bit grainy and congested. Treble is fairly extended but somewhat smeared and a bit prominent. Does a so-so job recovering room ambience, sounds slightly congested and is lacking in detail. Provides a decent volume level in a small sized room and is well suited for near field listening, at its loudest volume levels, the sound becomes strained.
