Decade-long ticket scam exposed at Louvre Paris

World-famous Paris museum, the Louvre, is once again in the spotlight after a €10 million ticket fraud scandal. A network of nine people was arrested after an investigation lasting more than a year.

A decade‑long ticket scam has hit the Louvre. 

Nine people — including tour guides and staff — stand accused of letting tourist groups enter with reused tickets, costing the museum over €10 million.

French police seized large amounts of cash and investigators are now probing similar fraud at the Palace of Versailles.
