More than two years after intense clashes on the border with Lebanon, DW traveled to northern Israel to see how life in the Kibbutz Manara is being rebuilt.

After intense fighting with Hezbollah on the border with Lebanon forced evacuations, residents are returning to northern Israel.

In Kibbutz Manara, many homes were damaged or destroyed and now reconstruction is underway. While some families are coming back, nearby towns still face population loss, shuttered businesses and long-standing structural challenges.
