As a freelance editor, I've collaborated with a range of clients and used many different video review platforms, such as QuickReviewer and Dropbox Replay. Out of all of them, FrameIO has consistently stood out as the best. The upload speeds are impressive, comments can be made with frame accuracy or across a range, and sharing videos with stakeholders is incredibly straightforward. One feature I particularly appreciate is being able to see exactly when a client has opened a video.
FrameIO has also introduced a dedicated panel within Premiere Pro and After Effects, along with the option to import comments directly into your timeline. However, due to my personal workflow, I still prefer using the main website.
I rely on this platform for every project I take on, and honestly, I can't imagine switching to another video review tool after this experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's no native Android app out or in-development currently, and opening the website on a web browser on my phone is not ideal & very buggy sometimes. Creating a review link to share with a client on my phone is also borderline impossible, unless you spend a good chunk of time clicking around in Desktop mode.
Pricing racks up fast if you have multiple people in your team since you're charged per member/seat.
And I'm not too fond of the design choices with FrameIO v4 either. An example being that they waste too much video player space on the review page.
I also dislike that there is no direct connection/link between Dropbox & FrameIO, which means I've to upload the same video to both sites separately (depending on state of the project). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
