    I’ve helped 10K+ brands launch on TikTok Shop(TTS). A shocking pattern emerged: 90% of brands rush to post videos, send free samples, or spend into ads BEFORE optimizing the foundation. A costly mistake. Today, I'll reveal the most overlooked factor tanking your TTS conversion rates—and how to fix it. TTS drives sales via Shoppable Videos, LIVE Shopping, Shop Tab, and Shop Page. All paths lead to the Product Detail Page(PDP), the final step before checkout. Yet, 90% of DTC brands copy their Shopify PDPs, ignoring TikTok’s mobile shopping behavior. Optimizing the PDP is crucial, but most focus on top-funnel content. The good news? Every PDP element can be optimized. Two key changes have helped clients boost conversion rates by 30-50% and ROAS by 4x+. Here’s how: 1. Build Trust & Improve Shopping Experience Trust is vital, especially for new brands. Here’s how to build it fast: ✅ Import Shopify Verified Reviews Most brands launch TTS with 0 reviews, leaving customers hesitant to hit the “buy” button. But TTS allows you to import verified reviews from your Shopify store—and this game-changer is wildly underused. A new TTS store with hundreds of 4+ stars reviews doesn’t just stand out in search results: - Attract 5x more influencer partnerships - Keep customers on the PDP 3x longer - Outshine competitors using existing credibility AfterShip’s one-click tool syncs reviews, boosting conversions by 15-20%. ✅ Consolidate Your Listings On Shopify, many brands create separate SPUs for every product variant to “fill” their store. But on TTS, this strategy is a death sentence. Why? TikTok users shop on mobile. Imagine scrolling through a product, then having to backtrack to the list page, click another SPU, and repeat—just to compare colors or sizes. That friction kills conversions. Customers abandon their carts, influencers avoid promoting fragmented products (it’s too confusing for their audience), and TTS’s algorithm flags your listings as “low-quality”. The solution? Merge all variants into one powerful, consolidated SPU. With AfterShip Feed, we help brands combine colors, scents, or anything make sense into a single PDP without changing the Shopify.
