I've worked with very few people who have a background or degree in data. Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Product Managers - more than the majority were people in different fields who were experts in that area that fell in love with working with data. They had degrees in Finance, Accounting, Nursing, and some that didn't have a degree at all. Don't sell yourself short simply because you didn't get a degree in it. I have a degree in Recreational Therapy. I've never let that slow me down!
