Google Discover is evolving, including a feature that pulls trending stories from multiple publishers into a single AI-powered snapshot. As DesignRush reports, readers can now get the highlights without clicking through to a site. The impact is real: Chartbeat data shows that some Asia-Pacific sites receive up to 60% of pageviews from Google Discover’s feed, while North American sites see around 24%. For publishers relying on Discover to influence pageviews, staying ahead of these changes means tracking, adapting, and diversifying their content strategy. **Why Netflix and Spotify teaming up makes sense** As a GenXer rapidly getting to the north end of the 18-49 demo, most media strategy is no longer designed with me in mind. But the recent announcement that Spotify is bringing certain The Ringer "podcasts" (side note - can we now just call them talk shows?) to Netflix genuinely feels like it was Charlotte Bismuth and I are always juggling subscriptions at home, but when Netflix released "Everybody's Live with John Mulaney" last year, it became an easy renewal decision for both of us. A Wang Chung theme song? Can you get more GenX? Meanwhile, The Ringer makes some of the best serialized talk anywhere. As it has leaned into video, I am increasingly watching The Rewatchables on YouTube instead of just listening. So this partnership feels like a logical experiment in where audience behavior is heading. Our research at Tubular Labs shows that YouTube is the single largest attention platform on physical televisions. As Netflix grows its ad businesses, the living room matters more than ever. Expanding high-engagement, talk-driven content into that environment makes sense. For Spotify, the Netflix app is a premium location that likely commands higher ad rates and enables them to capture new users perhaps less familiar with their content. Now I just need John Mulaney to guest on The Rewatchables and do his Back to the Future pitch bit. (“What, who’s his best friend? A disgraced nuclear physicist? All right, proceed.”). 🤣 🤣 🤣

We're hiring for one of the most critical roles at Chartbeat: Head of Revenue Strategy and Operations. This isn't typical ops work. It's the strategic engine that turns insights into action, pipeline into predictable growth, and our go-to-market motion into a competitive advantage. Why this role matters: You'll report to our CRO, Aaron Kaliner with influence across the entire company. The scope spans everything that drives revenue—sales strategy, forecasting, comp design, process optimization, and the tools that power our teams. We are growing fast, so this isn't just about efficiency - it's about unlocking new capability. The work you do in your first 90 days will compound for years. We're looking for leaders who have scaled revenue operations through growth, can lead both strategy and execution, and can spot patterns that others miss. If you want to shape how a mission-driven media tech company scales its next chapter, apply (and drop me a note)! Details: https://lnkd.in/eMPR-TB7
