Last week we had the pleasure of hosting a great group of people for a public tour of the Pine Bend refinery. It is always fun to share what we do and how we do it with neighbors and people who are interested in our operations. We even had a couple of retirees join us which was a real treat. A great day at Grand Old Day in Saint Paul over the weekend. Flint Hills Resources was proud to again be the parade sponsor and new this year, was featured in the Future Innovators Zone where our engineers used STEM principles to teach kids how to make a sweet treat at home: 🍦 Thanks to the Grand Old Day committee for all of the work you did to make this a memorable event!

This week our teams had the opportunity to gather at the Tandem Global conference (formerly Wildlife Habitat Council) to accept awards for Gold Certification at the Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend refinery and the Cottage Grove, MN terminal site. (Our refineries in Corpus Christi, TX are also gold certified!) We were also honored with the Grasslands Project Award for Pine Bend. A great gathering of people who understand that business and nature do in fact work together. #Stewardship

And that’s a wrap of the 2026 Flint Hills Family Festival in St. Paul. Thank you to all who came, enjoyed and immersed themselves in the spirit of the festival. For 26 years, our partners at Ordway Center for the Performing Arts has delivered a amazing festival, making arts and culture accessible to everyone. - Over 10,000 students during school week - Thousands of families - 100+ activities - 50 different artists/groups performing - 1,000,000 memories

The first day of this year’s Flint Hills Family Festival school week is in the books! The students loved seeing the shows inside the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and experiencing the performances and activities in Rice Park. If your school isn’t attending as part of a field trip, no worries, the festival opens to the public at 6:00 PM on Friday and runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday. Hope to see you there!

A great night with 500 of our Minnesota employees and their families as we celebrated Flint Hills Family Festival Night at the St. Paul Saints! Our festival partners Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, delivered amazing artists to perform the National Anthem, throw out the first pitch and sing at the 7th inning stretch…and a few of our good-sport employees participated in some classic Saints games mid-inning. Members of the Flint Hills Resources team had the pleasure of attending the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts’ annual gala this weekend where 25+ years of the Flint Hills Family Festival was featured throughout the evening. A special part of the program was world-renowned producer and former Ordway President Kevin McCollum talking about how the first festival came together back in 2001. We couldn’t be prouder that Anne Lee, Environmental Director at Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend refinery has been named a Notable Woman in STEM by Twin Cities Business Magazine. Anne has contributed to and led significant initiatives including programs that have reduced traditional criteria emissions by approx 70% since 2000, the implementation of real-time monitoring technology and conservation programs that have saved 3 billion gallons of water since 2010. Congratulations Anne Lee on this recognition!

We are proud to announce that Flint Hills Resources Corpus Christi West Refinery has earned US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ENERGY STAR certification, ranking the site among the top 25% most energy efficient refineries in the US. This certification recognizes their strong energy performance and the results of strategic energy management across the site. It also follows an earlier EPA recognition through the ENERGY STAR Challenge for Industry in 2024.
