We are proud to see our EMEA leadership spotlighted in the latest “Under the Hood” podcast. Thomas Stocker shares how Gentherm is evolving with vision and impact through human-centered technology. 🎧 Tune in by watching the episode below.
Your car knows you're stressed from your Outlook calendar. What should it do? That's really what #CASE and #SDV are about: giving the car the opportunity to act based on your digital life. This isn't science fiction, it's the logical evolution of in-car wellness technology, according to Thomas Stocker from Gentherm. In our latest "Under the Hood: Automotive Storytelling" conversation, Thomas outlined a future where your vehicle becomes a true wellness partner. The Vision: AI-powered personalization: Your car knows your temperature preferences based on weather, time of day, and your calendar (post-gym vs. post-meeting). Learning loops: When you adjust the seat cooling, that feedback goes to the cloud, refining the system for you and everyone. "You need to learn about your customer and this feedback goes back to the cloud and you can calculate that". Predictive activation: The car sees you're coming from the gym via Outlook, activates "sweat control + relaxing" mode automatically Continuous improvement: If you never change it, the system knows it's meeting expectations. "When you don't [change settings], then we know now we are meeting your expectations. There's always that circle of learning." Thomas explains: "WellSense can be installed wherever you want because you always have compute power and data connection. You can enable it via over-the-air updates." #AD will accelerate this move: "When you drive Level 3 and don't have to concentrate, you can use massage all the time. You can listen to louder music. You can truly enjoy it." Yet in our conversation, Thomas notes that organization silos can slow down innovation. "I was sitting in front of an SVP and four VPs from him. And all the components I was talking about, and the software and the electronics, were divided into those four different VPs... It's naughty. I can tell you it's almost impossible." His #1 advice: "Be open-minded, accept new stuff, and embrace change rather than push it back." 🎧 Full episode: Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/eChMGWPw Spotify: https://lnkd.in/ei_vtFyN What features would YOU want your car to predict and activate? #TellStories #UndertheHood #B2BStorytelling #SoftwareDefinedVehicle #AutonomousVehicles #AutomotiveInnovation #ConnectedCar #MobilityFuture #AutomotiveStorytelling
