Have you ever been to the doctor and wondered what the two numbers that are part of your blood pressure reading mean? Are they within normal ranges? If they’re higher than what is considered normal, you could have hypertension, a.k.a., high blood pressure. In recognition of National High Blood Pressure Education Month in May, check out our blog post for some background about systolic and diastolic blood pressure numbers and for tips to help manage or prevent high blood pressure: https://nuvi.me/3t80lo #HighBloodPressure #BloodPressureEducation #HeartHealth #hypertension

2026 Tackle the Tar was held this year on May 16th and we had several of our staff participate in the event. This is a 5K Obstacle Course Race held in Rocky Mount, NC each year. We have participated in this event for several years and love the opportunity to come together and represent PAM Health! This year, our team shirt's highlighted our Respiratory Failure Program with the slogan "Breathe. Live. Love." We appreciate all the staff members that joined us this year and the family members that came out as well. Though you get a little wet and muddy, your lungs get a great workout from the obstacle course, and of course there was plenty of fun and laughs!
