Zap by Paystack is now available as a payment option on Chowdeck. When Chowdeck customers check out, they can select Pay with Zap — the app opens instantly, they confirm, and the payment is done. It's a small change at checkout that removes a lot of friction from the payment experience. This is what Pay with Zap is designed to do, give customers a faster way to pay on the platforms they already use, and give merchants fewer drop-offs at the point of payment.

In October 2024, when Amazon announced the end of support for Aurora MySQL 5.7, we had 11 production clusters to migrate to MySQL 8.0. Each one powered business-critical payment systems across Africa. Upgrading infrastructure is more than a version change, it’s also a high-stakes decision that demands preparation, discipline, and clarity. In our latest blog post, we share our full migration playbook, including: ✅ How we redefined migration success ✅ Dual-layer compatibility testing across database and applications ✅ Why we chose a blue-green execution strategy ✅ How we built clear rollback paths before production The result: 11 production databases upgraded with zero post-migration incidents. If you’re leading infrastructure upgrades or modernizing critical systems, we hope this breakdown is useful. https://lnkd.in/eBUQjsuw

We had an incredible weekend at Paystack exploring how cross-functional teams are leveraging AI for real efficiency. A massive thank you to our speakers for their insights: Sola Omobomi set the stage with a keynote on the current AI landscape, demonstrating how he uses Claude Cowork to navigate a fast-evolving ecosystem. Idorenyin Udoh broke down his Figma-to-Code workflow using Claude and the Figma MCP server, focusing on minimising hallucinations and improving context. Oye Sobowale took us through a full design lifecycle, from copywriting to developer handover, utilising tools like Codex and Claude. Adeloye Adedeji discussed the leadership advantage of AI, emphasising the secure and efficient use of open-source models. I also had the pleasure of doing a live demo of the Paystack MCP server, sharing how we built it and showing how teams can use it as a companion during integration. Want to try it out the Paystack MCP Server? 🔗 I’ve dropped the link to the GitHub repository in the comments below. We’d love your feedback! Big shoutout to everyone who attended and made the event worthwhile: Ikechukwu K. Abuah Peace Oluwabusayomi Solomon Tosin Oke Ibukun Faniyan A. Isaac Emmanuel Oluwasegun Adedeji Stephen Ladoye

Johannesburg — we’re opening the room again. This time, with Shola Akinlade — co-founder of Paystack , one of the companies that quietly reshaped how money moves across Africa, long before its acquisition by Stripe. At our Johannesburg Gathering, the conversation isn’t about hype. It’s about: • the real state of fintech on the continent • what infrastructure still hasn’t been built • what scaling across African markets actually demands • where the next wave of opportunity is forming Before the main session, we’ll warm up with a focused AI in Fintech pre-panel — practical, operator-led, and grounded in what’s already shipping. This isn’t a conference. It’s a curated room for founders, operators, and decision-makers building in African fintech. A limited number of seats are being opened: 👉 https://lnkd.in/d--cg65b #TheOpenLetter #AfricanFintech #FintechAfrica #AIinFintech #Founders #Operators #Johannesburg
