Exciting news! Sunnyside Med is featured prominently in this fantastic article in Nat Geo today. Pieces like this are critical for bringing the "ozempic for alcohol" into the mainstream. We're proud to be a part of the movement. The article gives a balanced, academically rigorous overview of naltrexone for alcohol use, highlighting a Sunnyside customer's journey not only with medication, but also the habit change tools we provide alongside. It's a great story. Prevention of severe alcohol dependence is the way forward. Expanding access is key. One of my favorite quotes: "Greater awareness of alcohol’s health risks—even among people who don’t have alcohol use disorder—may help explain why naltrexone is entering new spaces, says Wakeman. Another factor? Many patients who want to cut back aren’t being offered medication options by their doctors, she adds. That gap has opened the door for direct-to-consumer health companies. Sunnyside, for example, offers compounded naltrexone with vitamin B6, along with behavioral tools, to help people reduce their drinking over time." This is just the beginning. 2026 is the year we break through!
