Happy National Engineers Week! 🎉 This week, we’re celebrating the commitment, talent, and impact of our Team. This year’s theme, "Transform Your Future," highlights how engineering goes beyond innovation — creating opportunity, strengthening our communities, and building a brighter future for generations to come. We kicked off the celebration on Saturday at the Great Lakes Science Center Annual Design & Build Competition. Nexus Engineering Group Team Members Jason Downie, Kelly F., Joseph Santocildes, and Isaiah Taylor competed alongside corporate and student teams in a challenge centered on water and power. It was great to see the energy and support from fellow participants and sponsors, including The Cleveland Engineering Society, GPD Group, Lincoln Electric, nVent, Olympic Steel, Parker Hannifin, Sierra Lobo, Inc., and Swagelok. We’re looking forward to continuing the celebration and recognizing our Team throughout Engineers Week! #EngineersWeek #EWeek2026 #TransformYourFuture

Foras Promineo officially departed the ISS at 4:50 AM yesterday morning! Shortly after deployment, we received telemetry confirming healthy battery levels, stable temperatures, and successful solar panel charging. Inside the payload window, you can even spot floating silicone foam pieces designed for our robotic arm mobility challenge that students and the public will control live from Earth. Huge congratulations to the Perkins High School students, their mentors, and the Sierra Lobo engineering team who helped make this mission possible! Video Credit: NASA

Our Sierra Lobo team was proud to be onsite at Cape Canaveral for today’s successful NG-23 launch! This mission has a strong Northern Ohio connection: - The Foras Promineo CubeSat was designed and built in partnership with Perkins High School in Sandusky. - Our Cleveland-based SpaceDOC III team at NASA Glenn supported NASA’s ZBOT experiment, which launched aboard Cygnus today. From classrooms to NASA centers to launch pads, Sierra Lobo is honored to help advance science and inspire the next generation of explorers. #SierraLobo #Wolfpack #SLI #NASA #Launch #CubeSat

Almost 100 attendees were treated to an insightful panel discussion about the aerospace industry at the July NODE (Northeast Ohio Development Exchange) meeting at the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Neil A. Armstrong Test Facility last week. Thanks to our panelists: General David Stringer, Director: Neil Armstrong Facility; Ashlie Flegel, Deputy Director Technology Integration and Partnerships: NASA Glenn Research Center; and Larry Knauer, Vice President, Programs: Sierra Lobo, Inc. and our moderator Keri Zipay, Senior Director, Business Development: Team NEO. Special thanks also to our event sponsor Alloy Precision Technologies, Inc. and our 2025 NODE Signature Event Sponsor Westfield Bank. The group was also treated to a tour of the campus, situated on 6,400 acres in Sandusky and home to some of the world’s largest and most capable space simulation test facilities, where ground tests are conducted for the U.S. and international space and aeronautics communities. #aerospace #spaceindustry #northeastohioregion #NEOhio #EconDev #TeamNEO #vibranteconomy #economicvibrancy #VEI
