Happy Menstrual Health Day! We are excited to give you a sneak peak into what we've been working on this year, A MENSTRUAL HEALTH HANDBOOK! Today, we celebrate the strength and resilience of women and girls who menstruate every month. And in honour of these phenomenal ladies, we chose to create a comprehensive guide to understanding your period better for a more positive menstrual experience. It's time we learn more about what's actually happening within our bodies AT EVERY STAGE, get holistic solutions to some of our discomfort/pain and destigmatise periods. The guide features expert insights from our incredible partners at SUKI Wellness, empowering stories and practical tips for greater ease during that time of the month. This handbook is designed to start more conversations and grow positive period communities. Stay tuned for the launch and join us in championing menstrual equity and empowerment in Uganda! #MenstrualHealthDay #MenstrualEquity #PeriodPower

Designing Yambi Community Outreach's new handbook reminded me why this work is so important. Did you know only 22% of Ugandan girls have access to sanitary pads? That is simply unacceptable. At Yambi all our work is focused on ending period poverty in Uganda, promoting menstrual equity and destigmatising periods but it hasn't been an easy journey bringing this handbook to life. ⭐ I'm convinced one of the greatest characteristics of any team is a "We'll figure it out" mentality because we couldn't afford an illustrator or fancy research tools - just a dedicated team willing to make it happen and here we are. Thank you to everyone that's donated to Yambi over the years. Your donations continue to make an impact. 📌 We're hoping to distribute our completed handbook to over 10,000 girls across Uganda and your support makes that possible. If you know any schools or communities that would benefit from this we'd love to spread the positive period gospel 😂 and Donate reusable sanitary pads as well. #Menstrualhealthday #periodpoverty #periodpositivity #menstrualhygiene
