Erosion Control is vital to maintain aquatic environments. 🙌 This recent planting was of all native beneficial species, including: 🌱 Pontedaria cordata (pickerelweed) 🌿 Juncus effusus ( softrush) 🌱 Sagitarria lancifola (duck potato) 🌿 Iris virginica (blue flag iris) The beautiful, cotton candy-colored bloom, Muhlenbergia Capillaris, was not installed by our team, but it is worth noting for its benefits. Our Summerville team recently completed this dredging project for one of the Medical University of South Carolina's office buildings. ➡ Three stormwater basins were constructed in the 80s, and material was never removed from them. ➡ Two of the basins had a concrete apron both around and inside, making the work difficult since we did not have any design plans to serve as a template, and we did not want to damage the structure. After years of coordinating with the current Building Manager to get the project approved, and two weeks of working alongside our dredging partners at Aquatic Environmental Southeast (AESE), the job is complete! 🔗 If you have a problem, TLD will work hard to find you a solution. Our corporate team at TLD had the honor of volunteering to help prep, prepare, and serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville for their service day. 🙏 Families from around the world get the help they need through the organization’s core programs, including housing, family, and even food assistance and meals. The Ronald McDonald House in Jacksonville differs from other locations through unique programs like the Health and Wellness Initiative and Education Initiative, which focus on nutrition, mental health, and experiential learning through partnerships with local organizations.
