Process Engineer II Sigma Design is a product development, engineering, and manufacturing firm. The hiring range for this role is typically between $100,000 and $116,00 annually, with the full range extending to $132,000 annually, based on experience, internal equity, and career progression
Primary Function: The Process Engineer II develops and implements moderately complex manufacturing processes with some supervision. Demonstrates growing expertise in process optimization and quality control while building understanding of broader system impacts.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
Independently develop assembly processes and process control for standard operations
Maintain and update manufacturing control plans with minimal oversight
Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback for moderately complex products
Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives for material flow and waste reduction
Create comprehensive work instructions and process documentation
Plan and execute equipment introduction activities including validation testing
Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions
Communicate process requirements to teammates and stakeholders
Participate actively in cross-functional project teams
Support root cause analysis for quality issues
Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
2-4 years of related Process Engineering experience
Demonstrated understanding of process improvement methodologies
Experience with electro-mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment
Working knowledge of electronics/data acquisition systems
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic CAD software
Experience with quality management systems preferred
Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group
Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values

Work Environment Office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
