Recently, Ofgem visited Biaco Energy in West Sussex to learn more about their prototype energy cell technology and discuss the role of innovators in shaping the future of the energy market. We saw a live demonstration of Biaco’s technology and heard from their leadership team about its potential to reduce consumer bills, tackle fuel poverty and support Net Zero goals. As the regulator, Ofgem is committed to supporting innovation and working with suppliers, Distribution Network Operators and Transmission Operators to help small innovators bring new ideas to market.
