There’s multitasking, and then there’s World Cup multitasking. Firefox is built to be your ultimate second screen this summer and help you get the most out of every match no matter where you are. World Cup widget: Scores and match updates, right where you’re already opening tabs. Picture-in-picture: Keep the match on while you keep doing… everything else. Split view: Work on one side, live match on the other. Tab groups: Keep World Cup chaos and work chaos politely separated. Custom wallpapers: A little game-day energy every time you open a tab. We’re also hanging out with Trevor Noah this tournament season for live watch parties, because if you’re going to overreact to a match, it’s more fun to do it with someone who gets it (while using Firefox). Make Firefox your World Cup sidekick this summer 🔥

This summer, millions of people around the world will come together for the World Cup following matches, sharing reactions, debating outcomes, and connecting with communities that span continents. At Mozilla, we believe technology should help people participate in those moments, not distract from them. That’s why we’re continuing to build Firefox around the way people actually use the web: staying informed, multitasking, and keeping up with what matters most to them. Whether it’s following a match, catching up with friends, or balancing work and life, the browser should work for you - not the other way around. I’m proud of the Firefox team for creating experiences that help people stay connected to the moments and communities they care about most. https://lnkd.in/gPvkZyVv

New in Firefox 151: Code with Web Serial It’s time to build! Now browser-based hardware coding can be done directly in Firefox, from compatible boards and sensors to classroom kits and microcontrollers. We loved working with Adafruit Industries on this launch. Firefox went undefeated at this year’s #Pwn2Own hacking competition in Berlin. This took months of hard work across engineering, security, and infra teams. A series of hardening releases continued into the final days before the contest sealed the deal. AI-assisted vulnerability discovery is changing the pace for researchers and defenders alike. The pace is like nothing I've seen before. Much more ahead here for both Firefox and the industry. This was an important moment and I'm incredibly proud of the teams who made it happen. https://lnkd.in/e9AWSvTg (Image credit: ZDI)

Congratulations to our CMO, John Solomon, on being named to ADWEEK’s 2026 Marketing Vanguard, which recognizes leaders who are “fiercely human amid rapid change.” That framing feels spot-on right now. AI is reshaping how people search, browse, create, and connect. But in the middle of all that, the basics still matter: trust, agency, clarity, and building products that actually serve people. Since joining Mozilla, John has pushed us to stay grounded in that. Move faster, stay close to users, and be intentional about the role Firefox and Mozilla should play in what comes next.

Firefox 150 shipped this week with fixes for 271 vulnerabilities identified through our collaboration with Anthropic using an early version of Claude Mythos Preview. It’s a strong example of how AI can help security teams identify vulnerabilities faster — and strengthen Firefox security for users. https://lnkd.in/gzXN8fFf

We're rolling out updates that build on our most popular desktop features and adapt them for how you browse on mobile. Here’s what’s out now, and what’s coming next ⤵️
Last year, we introduced Shake to Summarize on iOS. Shake your phone, and Firefox gives you a quick, content-aware summary. Today, we’re expanding this capability, and it’s now available to iOS users in German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian, and bringing it to Android for English users globally. This is just the start of our mobile roadmap for Q2. Over the coming weeks, we’re bringing more powerful desktop tools to your pocket 📲: 🎛️ AI Controls on Android and iOS: Decide exactly how (or if) AI shows up in your browser. 🔒Firefox VPN on Android: Turn on built-in IP masking in the US, UK, DE, and FR. 📑Tab Groups on Android: Use better organization to stay focused. We’re building a mobile experience that values your time and your privacy. Read the full roadmap here: https://lnkd.in/grxM2nEr
