Big agree.
Thank you so much to both of you, this really means a lot to me!
Thank you so very much to everyone who played The Whicher 2! I am reeeeeally happy with this news, i had megatons of fun working on it and this literally would never be possible if it wasn't for Flash Forward Jam and Ruffle. A massive thanks to everyone from Ruffle developing team, Newgrounds staff, the judges and the users!
I couldn't be more glad about the reception that my.. (game simulator?) had, with a bunch of really positive reviews, each of which(er) made my days brighter, so, a really special thanks to everyone who dedicated a bit of time to write those!
I would like to congratulate everyone who participated as well. Everyone who is capable of creating a game from scratch, alone or in a small team, has my deepest respect and admiration. So, congratulations everyone, and i hope to see you all again next year!

solved: PsychoGoldfish told me it's because of the API not supporting as3 just yet, and there will be an update soon
Can somebody help me please? idk why medals are not working in the game i made for flash forward jam. I tried everything i can, redid the process all over, and i can't manage to make it work...
I'm using as3. When i test it on Animate, it says it's connected and it recognizes the medals, but when i play in the browser it doesn't work at all...
are medals still working with as3? i have the old components and i would like to use them in my FFJ25 entry
oh boy! gotta start working on my entry for FFJ2025
If someone wants a simple original score for their pixel day game/movie, i'm available for commission!
this loop is not exactly chiptune but i guess it shows effectively a bit of what's possible in a short period of time:

This is a great classic Flash game with branching paths. Joeyag has since shared Grimmy Groove 8bit in the Halloween Spooktacular.
Thank you so much for the mention, Tom Fulp! It was a great honour getting an award on Newgrounds after this many years. I'm really glad Flash Forward Jam is a thing.

Well deserved, congrats!
Thanks to everyone who played The Whicher, i hope i didn't make anyone too mad... haha
And of course, thanks a lot Tom Fulp, staff and sponsors. It was a pleasure participating on FFJ23. Already thinking what i'll do for next year
Here's my entry. Only the best ones will guess what is it a parody of.
If there's someone still looking for music:
I made this specifically for the Halloween Spooktacular. If you want to use it in your project, i will accept the amount you think is fair for payment. If it's a non commercial project, it's okay you use it for free.
Happy Halloween for everyone!
If there's anyone searching for some action music for their Madness animation, my music is free for non commercial projects! Please feel free to use it!
Hello everybody. I am now making all my music free for non-commercial projects. If you want to put music on your non-commercial game or animation, please feel free to check out my portfolio so far:

If you want any changes to be made or if you want to use one of the songs in a commercial project, please let me know.
Thank you
Thanks a lot for the answers, everyone! It's really cool to see people actually willing to help.
Just to clarify something, now that i read my post again i realized it might seem that i'm trying to excuse a potential fail by saying "ooh but you guys paid for better stuff". Please, that's not the case! haha. It was an actual compliment! I really lack knowledge on that stuff and i really have to improve, and your tips really help!
Been listening to some audition songs. You guys got gear! I'm really behind you all in terms of production... synths, audio effects, libraries and stuff. I guess i should work on that.

For one moment i thought you were gonna make music scores out of the songs. I thought "damn, why are they gonna do that??? Isn't that, like, WAY too much work?????"
Lol
We do have to rank them, and that's also we've given ourselves 2 weeks instead of 1 to go through them all
I got it when i thinked about it. I meant at first i thought you were gonna transcribe all songs into musical score/sheet.

It’s still hard to believe she accomplished so much by age 19. I think her campaigns began when she was 14? Precocious much?
Would love to see some French girls today take up arms against the Saracens.
I guess 14 was considered a mature age back then. I read somewhere the concept of "child" is relatively new.

Can you give us some examples? Because the problem to which i usually run is that women depicted in fantasy art are always showing skin, which makes no sense at all. Like this painting here. It's outstanding, look at that metal texture! But why the hell would she leave her breasts out like that? She is literally leaving a vital part of her body exposed, which is not very smart in a sword fight situation. And her armor has fucking high heels???

I know there's that "sexual objectification of women" issue that we're always tired of hearing, but this is not what i'm complaining about. I just wanted a female armor that made sense, man...
One might find a hard time searching for cool art for female warriors/knights. This one i find to be really inspiring. It's assigned to Wayne Reynolds, from Pathfinder RPG books. Do you know any cool female warrior art that you remember? Preferably one with an armor that makes a certain amout of sense... no bikini armor.

Scouts honor.
Over ten years ago I remember doing friendly 24 hour competitions in which users would do their best in one day. There weren't any prizes, you'd compete for the fun. Obviously, honor has the potential to be tainted when you include prizes but that's just a given possibility.
Just try to have fun. Let the judges do their best to figure things out, and if you know someone is cheating SNITCH THEM OUT D:<
will do my best!

I'll definitely participate. I've been wanting to show my stuff out there for a while and this is a great opportunity for me to do so. I just had a failed project with an animator for Musk Jam and i ended up with an incomplete epic score with no purpouse. Now i'm motivated to go forth with the score for the audition :D
There's really no theme for the NGADM pieces, the only limitation (other than one entry per person per round) is that they have to be created within each 2-week round (with the exception being the audition round. Other than that, just follow the rules outlined in the auditions thread and you should be good!
