Response to: songwriting advice? Posted December 4th, 2025 in Audio

For me personally, the harmonic part is the foundation of my music, unless it calls for another strong element like a more elaborate rhythm or a unique timbre. But chords and intervals are the principle for me.

When I like to create variations and a bit of originality in my music, I always try to make a chord progression and change some tensions within the song, changing keys suddenly, using broken time signatures and anticipation.

From what I imagine, since you mentioned making riffs, I imagine it's on the guitar. The guitar offers a wide range of possibilities. Use the advantage of its design to create things that other instruments couldn't achieve as well. Using Xm7 and Xmaj7 or open voicings helps a lot, and especially harmonic modulations. In a song that's heavily centered on Eb, going down a half step (Db) sounds really cool too. Or going to some relative degree. The place you want to reach will be the result of a lot of experimentation. Try different cadences to find the right feeling!

I hope this has helped in some way!

This is a recreation of an old thread I've made in the past. It's about drawing the rest of the lines below!

iu_1501102_8867156.webp

you can draw anything that comes to mind! And i do want to make this a larger thing in the future if y'all think it's a cool idea, like a BIG collab or something.

There are a few rules AND possible questions!

  1. No NSFW / Gore.
  2. You can't erase the original line or edit it.
  3. You CAN paint stuff as long as it don't overwrite the original line.
  4. You CAN change the resolution to make it larger.

That being said... the first lines are these ones!

I'd love to see what ideas will come up :)

Having all human knowledge inside this box wont help me if i don't now there to go, this is why i'm trying to search for tips :/

I suffer with those, anyone have any tips for doing them?

Response to: The Pencil 2D Collab Posted December 29th, 2024 in Collaboration

Sounds cool, i once used this app for animate, maybe i will join on it!

I've been trying to get an animation out of the papers for years now... I've posted some episodes in my account, but those aren't canon anymore, as i consider they bad written and bad animated, since they were rushed :/

But... this animation is something i really wanted to do, even just for 2 or 5 episodes, animating solo is hard

In resume, the animation is about a different (not alternative) universe from earth, on which some people that was dead came on this "2nd universe" and became literal stars, they are powered by an energy called "Dead Light". Then their new world is based on past memories, and the more painful is this memory, is more difficult to turn into a living creature.

This sound a little bit confusing but i promise it makes sense when put in the animation!

And the animation is based by someone that "entered" this different universe 250 years later from its creation. But the problem is that all these years, a lot of wars happend and they were entering slowly decaying as living creatures (i say living creatures because there is other races, like elementals, creatures and phantoms)

If you want more details about it, you can check my previous attempts on my account or just see this episode here
