I love that idea! I always thought there should be some sort of way to re-feature old/classic NG animations and art so that newer users or people who may have forgotten or missed them can discover them, but letting the community decide what to bump is legit the best way of implementing that!

I bumped one of my old animations yesterday but I've got some old favorites from decades ago I want to bump to the front page next time.

I used to be a pretty ride or die square profile pic dude, but man I'm kind of loving slanted rectangle! Props to NG for being probably the only site I know of that lets people pick the shape of their profile pic!

Response to: First Newgrounds Game? Posted August 4th, 2021 in Video Games

Probably was Pico's School? But the first game I can really remember playing on NG is Exmortis, was the first real horror game I ever played in my friend's dark basement and I remember it spooking the crap our of me. Could have also been a fan Mario game or something, but It's been so long it's all a bit fuzzy.

I didn't really enjoy Revelations that much, but yeah I agree the Keith and Quint section is pretty bad

I definitely did not like it as much on my 2nd playthrough (on WiiU). I think the game's pacing definitely works best on it's original 3DS incarnation. That said I think it also has some issues I didn't notice first time around like the clunky dodge mechanic and the lack of a run button. Still pretty good in my books, but it's definitely gone down my ranking of favourite resident evil games.

Man, I actually loved the OG Hyrule Warriors and I really liked AoC at first, but I never managed to finish it. It became a bit of a frustrating mess by the end and I didn't have the patience to keep going.

I think for me one of my most dissapointing game purchase was Banjo Kazooie nuts and bolts. Worse part is my XBOX red ringed right as I got it so I had to wait a month for it to get fixed so i could fully experience the disappointment.

Response to: Newgrounds or youtube Posted July 21st, 2021 in General

As an animator/artist, Newgrounds 100%. As a viewer, most of my YouTube consumption is done while I work in the background. I listen to video essays and stuff like they're podcasts. Newgrounds however, when I play stuff on NG It's when I'm actively looking for animation to sit down and actively watch.

Congrats on making it to fourth place for art. Are you going to submit an entry for Pico Day 2019?

Thanks, and most certainly! I'm already getting some ideas but they could change between now and then.

Some real exciting stuff coming up! Will miss the old design but the new one looks great!

Really hope work will stay mild through this summer so I can partake in the Jams. The 2016 summer Jam was some of the most fun I had making stuff!

Hope these efforts will open the supporter flood gates!
Working at an anim studio I always try to bug my co-workers into making a NG account.
Hopefully some day it becomes the place to be for independent artists to post their stuff.

I love 4/5/6 and that's pretty much where my love for the series ends.
I did enjoy 3 and 7 & 10 as well but the series hasn't managed to get me
as interested as the snes ones. If I ever get a PS4 or if it gets a PC release I'd
love to try 15 tho it seems pretty cool.

them too much this year, but I love watching all the stuff that comes out of them.

Response to: Best of April 2017! Posted May 8th, 2017 in NG News

Congrats to the winners!

There was a lot of really good stuff in April. We watched quite a
few of these during our Home Made PicoDay party. Starbarians 3*
got tons of laughs from everybody there. So much effort behind
an April fool's prank!

I'll miss the annual Pico Day trip but I'm looking forward to the live stream!

@cecameron and I are going to have our own home made Pico Day party at home
with some of our friends and co-workers.
Gonna be decorating our living room to make it look more "Newgrounds" themed,
watch some new and classic Toons and drink some beer!
I even made some Newgrounds letters to mess around with for the authentic experience!

@cecameron tried to go check her messages on NG first thing after waking up.
In the midst of still being half asleep she didin't realise it was April 1st and the look of confusion on her face was priceless.
Great goof 10/10

That video was hella inspirational, id definitely nails what makes NG so special
Also, i can't believe SuperFlashBros are making games for Nintendo now... daaamn!

Response to: Richmond, VA GGJ & Pixel Day! Posted January 21st, 2017 in NG News

I kinda wish Pixel Day was officially a two day event because it would have been great motivation to make a pixel game for the GGJ and upload Sunday night.

Having a Pixel Week-End would be pretty sweet!
Especially in conjunction with something like GGJ where the community could get together to work on something.
