Holy cow!

Can confirm something's fishy: downloaded Kouraklis' WordCount for Word v1.2.0 (after bypassing Firefox 's warning) and ran Sigcheck on its main executable, instead of the zipped downloadable... :|

Windows system audio enhancers

Been meaning to post something on this subject for a while now (ever since ViPER4Windows apparently went missing), so I guess today is the day...

Please be aware that all the software mentioned in this post, although free, requires deep integration with your Windows system and thus isn't by any ...

BTW, no shade but being roughly a 32MB download -- which I'd venture it's Python's fault -- DIBM seems somewhat on the bloated side if compared ...

GhostPoster browser malware

Just in, an article detailing a previously unbeknownst yet devilishly clever browser subverting strategy (all major ones!) based upon something as innocent looking as a logo image...

Your browser extension logo just became malware. Not the code. The actual image file. A PNG icon sitting ...

Re: RJ TextEd - Unicode text and source editor

To be fair and FTR, Rickard Johansson ( MPad 's developer) stated this on his v1.0 release, back in 2022-08-22:

MPad is a lite version of RJ TextEd . It only has the editor part. Everything else have been stripped away.

Re: WordCount for Word (kouraklis)

Note that I added the publisher's name added to the header just because there's a lot of similarly named programs and tools, including here on TPFC.

In that respect, wouldn't it be better as well as straightforward to just place the publisher's name right at subject's beginning to do away with ...

Re: Considerations B4 installing Win11

To add insult to injury, errors like the following one (just reported...) are a major PITA and rank near the top of reasons supporting my reluctance to upgrade to newer Windows versions:

"After installing the January 13, 2026, Windows security update," Microsoft says, affecting Windows 11, version ...
