WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?


Fascists are continuously doing their work, whether they are in power or not. They work by
poisoning hearts and minds of people, lies and false propaganda are their main weapons, their
discourse is full of irrationality and abusive language, trickery-falsehood-hypocrisy and vile antihumanism is their culture. Progressive people, working class, women, minorities, oppressed-dalit
castes and communities are their biggest enemy.
They are doing their work continuously but those who oppose them, who are in majority,
they are quiet, inactive, and complacent
I believe that electoral defeat can not eliminate them. They are not least bit perturbed by debates
in parliament and on TV channels. Mere symbolic resistance of fascism in discussion rooms of
metropolitan cities will not harm them. The need of the hour is not an inactive, passive, subtle
protests but an all out attack. They must be exposed in society to the grass roots levels. The open
and dubious proponents of these forces need to tackle in every field including ideology, art,
culture, literature and politics. Their web of false propaganda needs to be demolished
The nuances of these brain-children of Hitler and Mussolini are unchecked in the cyber world.
They use blogs and sites to propagate their puranas of falsehood. They keep repeating their
narrow orthodox chants. No sooner than a pinching logical argument is put forth they attack in a
group and try to silence it in their nonsensical chattering. Most people do not confront them; they
are more concerned about protecting their nobility and choose to sit on the fence with the attitude
they are not worth it?
Hindu fundamentalist forces keep on spreading poisonous weeds through government
machinery, networks of the RSS, rumors, their infiltration in media and various programmes
organised under the banner of religion. Whatever counter-attacks are launched against them are
mostly limited to the circle of educated people and intelligentsia. Even these are mostly in
English. These forces have now spread their tentacles in the realm of web as well. Interestingly,
these forces which are against science and scientific temperament are not at all lacking in the use
of latest technology. This is true for saffronised fascists of our country as well as fundamentalist
Talibans.

Now the time has come to not only expose them threadbare but to reveal the true face of their
ideology, their reactionary aims, their shameful history and the character of their leaders. The
time has come to choose our stand between the struggle to take history forward or to turn the
wheels of history backwards.
This site will be an attempt in this direction. Therefore I would request you to join this
movement.
We shall try to expose the political-economic-ideological roots which give rise to fascism, to
reveal fascist ideology, politics and organisations, to bring their black deeds to light, to counter
their facts and logic and along with that we would strive to bring forward the works of poetswriters-artists all over the world, to collect audio-video content at one place, to highlight the
history of struggles of common people against fascism. We would also try to differentiate
between religion and fundamentalism, and to carry forward debates and discussions on the
scientific materialist view of religion, the question of secularism etc.
