this book is not an in depth treatment of the design of retaining structure. retaining structures are far too complex subject to treat in single small volume. there are dozens of references and foundation engineering texts and countless technical papers available for review, however, finding what you need is time consuming. my goal was to put in the most helpful things a designer needs to know to design most type of retaining walls.
