Draw The Influence Lines For (A) The Vertical Reaction at A, (B) The Moment at A, and (C) The Shear at B. Assume The Support at A Is Fixed. Solve Using Muller-Breslau's Principle

This document summarizes the solution to a problem involving drawing influence lines for the reactions and internal forces in a beam. The vertical reaction at A is 1, the moment at A is -10, and the shear at B is 1. These results were obtained by applying Muller-Breslau's principle, which relates influence lines to the deflected shape of the beam under the loading case.

Chapter 6 Problem 4 Draw the influence lines for (a) the vertical reaction at A, (b) the moment at A, and

(c) the shear at B. Assume the support at A is fixed. Solve using Muller-Breslaus principle. Scan of Hand Written Calculations

a) Fy=1 at A b) MA=-10 c) VB=1

Shear at B V=1

Results Draw the influence lines for (a) the vertical reaction at A, (b) the moment at A, and (c) the shear at B. Assume the support at A is fixed. Solve using Muller-Breslaus principle. The Muller-Breslaus principle states the influence line for a function is to the same scale as the deflected shape of the beam with the beam is acted upon by the function. a) The vertical reaction at A on both the robot and my calculations were 1. b) The moment at A is negative 10 on both the robot and my calculations. c) The shear at B is 1 on both my calculations and on the robot.
