FORMAT FOR TRAINING REPORT

1. INTRODUCTION History and general information of mine, its produce, location of the mine, management and communication, stakeholder of the mine, management contact information. 2. GEOLOGY AND ORE/MINERAL/COAL RESERVES No. of seams, particulars of seams (thickness, parting, depth and status of working), degree of gassiness, geological disturbances, total reserve and balance reserve. 3. METHOD OF MINING Method adopted for development and depillaring. 4. MAN POWER Average employment per shift, appointed supervisors, distribution of man power. 5. SUPPORT DESIGN Size of pillars and galleries, system of support, systematic support rules. 6. VENTILATION Details of mechanical ventilator and auxiliary fan, ventilation condition in underground working, inflammable gases, apparatus for ventilation survey. 7. MECHANISATION Winning of coal, evacuation of coal, means of communication, pumping of water, winding. 8. MINE MANAGEMENT Management structure, official supervisors, competent persons, decision making. 9. PRODUCTION STATISTICS Average daily production, average monthly output, total yearly production. 10. MINE SAFETY Safety features of machinery, safety committee, education and training of workers, inspection of workings. 11. ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT PLAN Formulation, implementation and monitoring of environmental protection measures. 12. MINE RECLAMATION PLAN Procedure for restoring land, rehabilitation, mitigation of environmental effects of mining. 13. MINE CLOSURE PLAN Proposals for activities which have to be carried out after production of mineral from the mine has ceased. 14. TRADE UNION ACTIVITIES Meetings of official policy-making bodies, annual conferences, activities for betterment of position of the members.
