Web Page
Descri ption: A web page desig ned to s howcase a personal l y created logo. Process ( Programs, Tools, Skills ) : I created this web page by starti ng out with an HTML in TextWrangler. Learning how to structure a web page was very beneficial to this process. Once I had everything structured correctly, I linked the HTML to a CSS file. This CSS file helped me add the design elements to the web page. This also was hard to learn but very beneficial. Using the CSS file, I put in my desired colors and images that related to my logo. I also changed my fonts to go along with the feel of a young childs lemonade stand. I used the eyedropper tool from Photoshop to get the exact colors from my logo. I also used subtl ed esigns.com to get my background image, which I then took into Photoshop to make yellow. Programs/Tools Used: TextWrangler/Notepad & Photoshop Message: A fun and inviting website that sells light summer treats and looks like a childs lemonade stand. Audience: Anyone who craves yummy treats! It applies to people of all ages. Top Thing Learned: How to use HTML and CSS and decipher what elements manipulate what. Color scheme and color hex: Analogous: Yellow #fcda4f; Violet #964a88; Indigo #414982; Title Font Families & Category: ( all names ) KG Part of Me, Sans Serif

Copy Font Families & Category: ( all names ) Arial, sans serif Changes made to the CSS: I changed the font families, changed the previous comments, changed the background and paddings, and I also changed the colors to match my logo.

Brochure
Description: A two sided ( duplex ) folding brochure. Process ( Programs, Tools, Skills ) : In Adobe InDesign I set up my pages and drew guidelines to represent where I would fold the brochure. I had picked out my images before I started so I placed the full bleed cat in the field image across the first page. This would serve as the front and back of the brochure. I placed my desired images/logo and text. I later gained the skills to do text wrapping. Using Adobe Photoshop, I took out the background of the image of the woman. I brought it back into InDesign and used the text wrap option to wrap the text around the image using the alpha channel. Th e logo wa s d esigned i n Adobe I l l ustrator. I used to pen tool to trace an image of a paw print and create the heart. I combined the two and brought them back into InDesign. For the inside I blocked off a section with the teal color. I placed the title and text on this page but left room for a little cut out for the logo. I wanted to add an element of surprise and have the logo be split up partially onto two pages. Although they were split, they still acted as one element. I repeated the logo on the back. I placed the pictures on the side so they would show through whether the brochure was open or closed. I used the pen tool to create the curved sides on the pictures. Once I had printed my project in the Spori, I trimmed the edges on a cutting board and hand cut the side and paw print of my design. Programs/Tools Used: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop Message: Inform my audience about animal adoption process, how it works, and about who started it. Audience: Single adults, families, and animal lovers. Top Thing Learned: I learned how to wrap text around an image in InDesign and work paragraph styling. Color scheme and color names: Split Complementary Teal, Red, and Green. LoGos
Description: Three different logo designs for a company. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I worked in Adobe Illustrator on all three logos. I used the pen tool and the pathfinder window most of all. I first drew the three rectangles and began to alter them with the pen tool. For the first logo, I pulled in a side and created the curved edge. I extended the curve with two long thin lines. I then placed the text in side the curve. The second logo rectangle was not altered. The text on the other hand was. I typed it and drew a diagonal line through each letter. I then used the pathfinder window - divide to split the letters in half. From there I seperated them and colored/outlined each half. For the third logo, I drew a small square. I pulled in the sides again using the pen tool like the first logo. I pulled in each side and recopied the square. Once I recopied it and layered them together, I used the pathfinder window again and used the divide option. I brought apart the sides, colored them gold and yellow and altered them to allow the white to show through. I then added the logo text and body copy text in. Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator Message: To provide a professional message to portential investors and customers. Audience: Anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional investment firm. Top things learned: How to better use the pen tool and Illustrator. Letterhead
Description: Matching letterhead and business card (next page) designed using a personally created logo. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I worked in Adobe Illustrator on both projects. I used many of the same tools. I first drew the balloons with the pen tool. To get them perfectly symmetrical I used the reflection tool. I then added little white highlights to the balloons with the pen tool. Also using the pen tool, I created the balloon strings coming down to meet together. For the stationery I placed this logo in a light blue box at the bottom to set it apart from the rest. I then repeated dots across the top and bottom of the stationary to give it another element. I brought down the opacity of these to avoid taking away from the logo. I wanted the main focus to be the text/information and the balloons, so I put in my color scheme to the dots, choosing very light pastel colors by dropping the opacity to 50% and 20%. Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator & InDesign Message: I wanted to go for a bright inviting childlike feel. I wanted to provide a sense of organized fun. Audience: Anyone looking for a place to take their child for some fun, or for a part time day care service. Top things learned: How to better use the pen tool and Illustrator and InDesign Color scheme: Split Complementary Yellow, Purple, Green Title Font Name & Category: Cinnamon cake Modern Humanst521 Lt BT sans serif
