USB-ECU Interface Hayabusa

This document provides wiring diagrams and instructions for connecting a USB-ECU interface cable to the ECU of a 2002-2007 Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle. It shows the pinouts for the USB cable, TTL-232R USB-to-serial converter, programming plug, and ECU connector. PRGM PLUG NOTE: TO PROGRAM THE ECU OUT OF THE BIKE USE THE PIGTALE CABLE TO CONNECT THE WIRES DIRECTLY TO THE ECU PINS TO PROGRAM THE ECU IN THE BIKE PLUG THE PRGMR TO IDK CABLE INTO THE BIKE'S IDK WIRE HARNESS CONNECTOR OR SPLICE THE PGRMR PIGTAIL CABLE INTO THE WIRE HARNESS FOR THE IN BIKE PROGRAMMING TO WORK THE ECU CONNECTOR MUST FIRST BE REWIRED. THE ECU CONN PINS CAN EASILY BE REMOVED AND REINSERTED IN DIFFERENT PIN POSITIONS.

REWIRING ECU CONNECTOR FOR PROGRAMMING: 1) REMOVE THE LARGE ECU CONNECTOR FROM THE ECU AND PRESS IN THE SINGLE WHITE TAB ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CONN. THIS UNLOCKS THE PINS. 2) PULL OUT THE WIRES LISTED BELOW AND REINSERT THEM AS INDICATED. 3) MAKE SURE ALL THE WIRES IN ALL THE WAY THEN PUSH DOWN THE TWO WHITE TABS AT THE TOP OF THE CONNECTOR TO RELOCK THE PINS.
