OBJECTIVE
To improve my future through education, in order to make a difference. I am aspiring to becoming a general
surgeon. In order to achieve my goal, I have been working on succeeding academically and getting experience
through activities that will prepare me for that job. I have joined the HOSA club (Health Occupations Students
of America) to get me surrounded by people who have been through more of the process and people who
aspire to be in the medical field, as well. This club allows us to compete on medical related competitions with
other students, so that we get an early on set of how medical school can be. These competitions will serve us to
be slightly more prepared for some of the academics in my future. A big part of wanting to be a surgeon is that
I want to be able to help people. This club allows me to do that by coordinating the blood drive in my school,
which will provide the help that people need. English Honors Society provides other social aspects of
becoming a surgeon for me, by being president of this club I have learned to manage with other people on
important decisions for the club. This will help me with future consults with other doctors that share a
different opinion as me. It has also taught me to be fully responsible for all actions, and how to solve problems
that occur when planning an event. Both of which will continue to be of use in my life and career. I have
continuously emerged myself in these after school activities, as well as others, in order to learn from my
experiences and implement them in my fuure.
