Get Connected Day Checklist

Edina High School 2:00-6:00PM


August 13, 2014

Mandatory for ALL Students


Get School Picture takenALL students must have their picture taken and a new ID printed. Note: these photos are
kept on file with the school district and used for publication when needed.
Pick up your IDStudent IDs are available immediately after photo is taken and are needed to pick up class
schedules. In addition, IDs are required for entrance to school sponsored activities, such as dances, concerts, sporting
events and to eat lunch.
Pick up your schedule at the appropriate table. If there is no schedule for you, you may have a fine to pay, a book to
return, or you must activate a SchoolView account.
If you need to make a course change (teacher changes are not available)
Complete a schedule change form available at the schedule pick up table at Get Connected Day or the form will be
available online at [Link]
Forms must be submitted by 3pm on August 21. Counselors will respond via email if change can be made and a
$5 fee will be collected upon student pick up of new schedule.
OR
Counselors will be available on Thursday, August 14 & Friday, August 15 from 8:00-11:00 a.m. and from 12:00-2:30
p.m. Cost is $5 per change.

Return Health FormsStudents MUST complete a new health form every year.
Pay any outstanding fines/return overdue books, if necessary. Students were notified of a fine at the end of the school
year. If fine has yet to be paid, student will be notified when they pick up their schedule.

Optional for ALL Students


Add funds to your Chartwell Lunch AccountTurn in a check. Only students new to Edina need to complete a form to
set up a lunch account. If your student had a lunch account at South View or Valley View, you do not need to set up a
new account.
Pick up Naviance activation code for parents/students that have not registered.
Visit the College & Career Center table for information.
Purchase your 2014-15 Windigo Yearbook.
Pick up parking permits for car pools, if applicable.
Purchase student athletic pass to all Edina home athletic events$50; does not include admission to tournament play.
Activate SchoolView account or update contact information on School View (if needed). Parents and students have
separate accounts. An EHS SchoolView activation help will be available in the main office. Please make every effort to
activate your accounts at home at [Link]

Seniors Only

Turn in Open Lunch form (optional)


Turn in Senior Release form (optional)
Turn in Blended Release form (if taking a blended class)
Get Senior Party Information (pay party feeoptional)

Memberships/Communication

Join the Edina Athletic Booster Club and visit their table to purchase Spirit Wear
Join EHS PTO and receive Student Directory
Find information on the Edina Ed Fund
Bookmark Hornet Headlines, the EHS newsletter, at [Link] Hornet Headlines will
be published the first and third Wednesdays of each month

Please note:
If a student is unable to attend Get Connected Day on August 13, pictures for Lifetouch school photos/IDs will be taken on Thursday,
August 20, 7:30am-2:30pm in the door 7 lobby. Student IDs are required to pick up your schedule. If unable to make it to Get

Connected Day or the make-up day on Aug. 14, please report to the main office at 7:30am on first day of school to get your ID and
schedule.
