A quick presentation about Middlebury’s connection with Lacrosse the Nations
will start off the tournament at 12:30.
Lacrosse the Nations is an NGO that has created a powerful connection with La Chureca, a
trash dump community in Managua, Nicaragua. In bringing the game of lacrosse to the
community we are hoping to alleviate the fracturing pressures of extreme poverty and bring a new
game to people in need. Ultimately, we want to train lacrosse players of all ages and
backgrounds to be "Ambassadors of Hope" and commission them to communities in need.
Using La Chureca as inspiration, we are trying to spread the game of lacrosse and awareness to
serve communities both at home and abroad.
