No Direction
Seq. 1 Ext. Day. Crossroad.
Mon, a man around his mid 20s, is seen to be roaming around the streets checking
for directions. He seems lost and confused. He approaches a crossroad and decides
what road to take.
Seq. 2. Int. Day. Flashback. House.
Mons mom, around her late 50s leaves an envelope on a table to be delivered to a
friend. She asks Mon to deliver it. After giving him instructions, she leaves for the
door. Mon, half awake, is left with no choice but to deliver the letter.
Seq 3. Ext. Day. Jeepney.
Mon is seen looking at jeepneys. He decides to ride one without looking where it
headed to. As he enters, he finds that everyone inside is looking at him strangely.
He then notices that theyre all wearing black. The woman beside him then asks
him why he is there. Confused, he asks why. She then tells him that the jeep is part
of a funeral service. Embarrassed, he leaves the jeep.
Seq 4. Ext. Day. Haunted House
Mon sees that he is in a field. Aside from the funeral service that just left, no other
vehicles are passing by. He decides to walk further to look for anyone to ask for
directions. He arrives at a big, old, haunted-looking house. Mustering all his
courage, he decides to ring the doorbell. After a few tries with no answer, he
decides to leave. Just then, the door opens. Surprised, he checks inside to see who
opened the door. He constantly calls for anyone as he enters the house. An eerie
vibe surrounds the whole house. As he walks around, he hears doors closing without
anyone there. As he reaches the end of a hallway, he sees a rocking chair rocking
when suddenly, it stopped. As he approached it, he finds that no one is sitting.
Afraid, he runs to the door and out the house.
Seq. 5. Ext. Day. Highway
Mon keeps on running until he reaches the highway. As he stops to catch his breath,
he sees an angry dog staring at him, growling. He panics and runs away. This
causes the dog to chase after him. Their chase leads them to a market. As he runs
around to lose the dog, he bumps into a girl.
Seq. 6 Ext. Day. Market
The girl is named Rosa, around her early 20s. Mon and Rosa fall down the
pavement. He quickly stands up and helps the girl. As he apologizes, he notices her
pretty face and quickly got mesmerized by her. They stand and Mon introduces
himself to her. She smiles and introduces herself back. As they talk about
themselves, Mon notices that he is lost. He then asks where he is. Rosa answers
and asks him where he is headed. He tells him the road where he needs to go. This
road happens to be the where she lives. She then offers to bring him there.
Seq 7. Ext. Day. Field.
As Rosa leads Mon to where theyre headed, they get to talk about themselves. It is
clear that they are both attracted to each other. Walking side by side, the back of
their hands keep on touching. Mon got so caught up with the moment that when
passing by a narrow pilapil, an elevated land between the field, he got out of
balance. As he was falling, he grabs the arm of Rosa and they both fall into the
mud. Rosa, falls on top of Mon. Mon tries to brush off Rosas hair from her face only
to realize that his hand is covered with mud and all he did was to put mud in her
face. They both sit-up laughing.
Seq. 8. Ext. Day. Arellano Street.
As they reach the street Mon has mentioned, Rosa asked which house he needs to
go. Mon brings out the muddy envelope and shows it to her. To Rosas surprise, it
was addressed to their house and to her mom. She then leads him to their house.
Seq.9. Int. Noon. Rosas House.
Rosa calls her mom and tells her that Mon is looking for her. Mon gives the envelope
and finds out that Rosas mom used to be his mothers best friend back in high
school. When she opened the envelope, it revealed a necklace. Rosas mom asks
Mon why his mom gave him a necklace although Mon couldnt answer. He tells her
to read the letter enclosed with it but it was unfortunately covered with mud. Rosas
mom thanks him anyway and asks him to stay for dinner.
Seq. 10. Ext. Dusk. Highway.
After dinner, Rosa offers to walk Mon back to the highway. While walking, they got
to talk more about himself. He then reveals to her that he gets lost a lot. She then
finds this cute and asks if he could visit again. He says he will. They part ways and
Rosa waves goodbye as she was walking away. Mon smiles as she left. When shes
finally out of sight, he takes a breath and takes time to look around, only to realize
that he doesnt know how to go home.
