Issue:
Customer is looking for assistance with collecting a 'configupload' backup file from their Brocade switch.
Resolution:

1. Open your FTP Server (3CDaemon)

2. Ensure your FTP Server is started

3. Configure your FTP Server:

3A. Keep profile name as anonymous (unless using SFTP)


3B. Choose the directory for the file to be uploaded to (in this example it's
set to desktop)
3C. Ensure all permissions are checked off
3D. Save profile information

Things to note for the next step:


User: anonymous
FTP IP: [Link] (This will IP will be different for each installation of C3daemon)

4. Once you have your FTP configured next step is to create a SSH/Telnet session to
the switch.

5. Run the configupload command:


#> configupload

6. Select your protocol: (In this example we are using FTP)

7. Enter your FTP IP Address: (Noted Above)

8. Enter your FTP user information: (By choosing anonymous, we will not need a
password)

9. Name the configupload file being created: (In this example we are using [Link])

10. Choose the all option for configuration:

11. Once these steps are completed hit enter and you should have the file uploaded to
the directory choosen.
