A lot of people have found that they are addicted to chocolate and that it is
causing them major problems in their lives. But knowing that you are addicted and doing
something about it is completely different. You could try to start your own support group to
wean you off this addiction. Here are a few basic tips on how to go about staring your own
addiction group.
1. The first thing that you have to do when you are addicted to anything is to admit the problem.
It may sound silly but until you admit that you have a problem then you will never cure it.
2. It is a good idea to enlist the help of a few people that you know who can act as sponsors in
case you need anybody to fall back on in your moments of weakness.
3. It can also be helpful to invite a few other people that suffer from the same addiction. By
having like minded people in your group you can all help and support each other through this
addiction.
4. Try to organize regular meetings each week so that you can keep a check on each others
progress. It does not have to be a meeting in person; you could ring each other up, as long as you
all meet at the same time every week.
5. Keep regular records of when you eat chocolate and how much you eat each time. It is also
good to keep records of how you felt before you ate your chocolate and the feelings that you felt
after you ate it.
6. It could also be a good idea to imagine how you would look and feel once you have beaten
your addiction to chocolate. You may even want to sketch a picture of what you imagine you
will look like.
If you have this image about how you are going to feel after the chocolate addiction is over it
may spur you on in the moments when you feel like giving in to your craving.
You can use personalized postage stamps and custom rubber stamps to make it look more
intimate.
