Antivirus and Firewall

Antivirus:
Antivirus it’s software that used to delete or prevent the viruses, maintaining privacyand
and this include spay ware, worms, Trojan and any kind of viruses.

The first use for the anti-virus it was by Bernd Fix and that was in 1987 and in the 1990
there were 19 antiviruses. Before the internet the viruses was moving from computer to
another by the floppy disk so they don’t spread widely so the update was very rarely
but know the viruses can infect may computers by one click.

There are many ways that the anti-viruses use to catch the viruses. The first one is to
check all the documents to determine the viruses all the anti-viruses have a dictionary of
the name of viruses and during the checking the anti-viruses check the contact of all
documents and compare it with the virus dictionary and this is the most common way.
The other way is that the antiviruses determined and stop the active viruses. If the
antivirus catch any weird activity it’s make more investigation and then use the first
way. This way used for unknown viruses or the new virgin for the existing viruses.

1- AVG Anti-viruses.
2- Kasper Sky Anti-viruses.
3- Norton Antivirus
4- ESET NOD32 Antivirus

1 COMPUTER VIRUSES
Firewall:
The firewall is a device that used for separate the computers form the network and
monitoring all the sending and receiving during the network and it can deny or accept
these transactions. The term of “Firewall” come from the wall that built in special way
that the fire doesn’t spread widely.

1- Network Layer and Packet Filters


2- Application Layer
3- Proxy Servers
4- Network Address Translation
