Nordic Cowl

The Nordic Cowl is made using 3 colors of yarn. It has dimensions of 9" by 21" and is made using a 5mm circular needle. Patons Classic Wool 1 Ball(191m/210yds) colour: Black (A) Martha Stewart Extra Soft Wool Blend (150m/165yds) 1 Ball each colour: Bakery Box White (B), Igloo (C)

Needles Used: 5mm, 16/40cm Circular Gauge: 20st/26rows stst.(kw weight)(A) 18st/25rows i(Worsted wt.) (B,C) 20/23sts Fair Isle Pattern used Abbreviations: Patterns used: K-knit Seed St: P-purl Row 1:K1, P1 CO-cast on Row 2: P1, K1 BO-bind off Inc.- Increase Rep: Repeat M1- Knit into front and back of stitch K2tog: Knit 2 sts. Together

Instructions: CO 100 sts. With colour (A) Seed Stitch: Row 1: *K1, P1* Rep to end. Row 2: *P1, K1* Rep. To end Repeat rows 1&2, 2 more times for a total of 6 Rows worked. Next Row: Keeping to Seed St. Patt. Inc. 8sts. Across Row Inc to 108sts ((K1,P1)x6, M1)x8, K1, P1, K1, P1. Begin Chart Pattern as follows: Knit all stitches 1st chart row: K12 pattern sts. x9 2nd chart row: K12 pattern sts. x9 Continue with K sts with remaining chart rows 3-16 Repeat Rows 1-16 of chart once more. Repeat Rows 1-3 of chart. Knit Row 4 of Chart decreasing 8 sts. across row as follows (K11,K2tog)x8, K4 Seed Stitch: Row 1: *K1,P1* Rep. to end with colour (A) Row 2: *P1, K1* Rep. to end. Rep. Rows 1 & 2 2 more times for a total of 6 Rows. Next Row: BO Weave in ends. Block Cowl.
