HFM Application Copy Guide

HFM Copy Application Utility usage

Navigate to

<Hyperion_Home>/EPMSystem11R1/products/FinancialManagement/Utilities and double click on [Link]

The below screen appears as the startup screen, click Next to proceed.

Provide the udl file which has the connection to Source Schema in where the

application is present.

The HFM Application that is present in the schema will be listed in the below

screen, select the application and click Next.

In the below case as the application is HFM on EPMA, so once clicked on Next

in the previous screen the pop up window appears as This is EPMA application and if you want to convert it to a Classic administration application click Yes. If you need to click No, the Artifacts had to be moved to the target application using LCM.

Once clicked on Next on the previous screen a pop up window appears, go

through the same and click on Yes.

Select the UDL file of the target database in where the connection to the

schema is made and click Next.

In the below window the you can define the Application name of the target

environment, by default it will show the name of the Source application, you can rename it, in this case we are renaming it to cpwphfm

In the below window, leave the default selected options and Click Next.

In the below window, check for the options that you have selected and go

back if you missed out some option, if not Click Next

The Copy function for the table copying will progress and shown as in the

below screen shots

The below windows appears after the successful completion of the Copy

Application from Source to Destination

In the below screen you can click on the View Log File to view the log file for

the complete processing of the Copying Application.

Once the Copying is completed, login to HFM with HFM Web Client to see for

the application to appear under the HFM Cluster. Open the application for testing if it is opening without any issues/ warnings.

TO

EPM ARCHITECTS

Logon to workspace of [Link] and Navigate to Transform Classic to EPM

Architect

Select the application to be Upgraded to EPM Architect, in this case it is

cpwphfm, select the same and follow the screens to provide sufficient details and hence the application gets Upgraded to EPM Architect.
