This week in kindergarten, the students finished reviewing Jesus' parables and started learning about the Apostle's Creed. They practiced writing and reading sentences in language arts and solved addition problems in math. An upcoming field trip to a nature center allowed them to explore plants, books, and insects. The teacher encourages sharing the experience with families and looking forward to a Mother's Day water day event.

Kindergarten News
St. Paul Lutheran School Mrs. Torres

This week in Religion we finished reviewing the parables of Jesus and started talking about the Apostles Creed and what it means! Next week we will continue to review the Apostles Creed and miracles and also study the Triune God.
In Language Arts this week we practiced writing and reading sentences. I am so impressed by this wonderful writing! Have your child share some handwritten sentences with you! We are also practicing reading and writing words in word families. We will continue to review and refine these skills next week and practicing always using our best handwriting!

Watch for a brochure next week with more information! In math this week we reviewed writing and solving addition sentences. We will continue this next week with an additional focus on subtraction sentences! We had such a wonderful time exploring nature at the Wildflower Center, through books and even some insects that were brought in! If you have a chance to come by the room, you can see our nature posters and writing on the bulletin board! Has your child shared their most memorable nature experience this week?!
