ABOUT PLACEMENT CELL
Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of our institution. The institute has provided the complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programs. Reputed industrial houses are visiting our institute for the campus recruitment programs during this academic year 2011-2012. Our pioneering efforts have borne fruits in achieving academic-industrial rapport and we are proud that our students are absorbed by leading giants in the industrial firmament. The placement cell coordinates quite well with the corporate sector and provides well-developed infrastructure to facilitate the campus selection programs. Information to Parents and Students The successful completion of placement season for the first passing out batch of B.E./B.Tech and M.B.A., 2011-12 is a testimony to continued faith reposed by the corporate world in Kingston Engineering College, Vellore. The recruiters who became our clients in this year's placement are IBM, DATA PATTERNS, COGNIZANT, WIPRO, HCL, O R A C L E , VA C S I N F O T E C H , Z E P INFRATECH, IGENIESES, ADITYA BIRLA, BGR ENERGY, GLENWOOD, i-HORSE TECH, SILICON HOUSE, SYNTEL, MICROTEK, and lot more towards 100% placement. The placement process saw top notch recruiters vying to hire talent that Kingston has become synonymous with, offering coveted
profiles in traditional as well as niche domains. The cell is designed to function with a high degree of professionalism. It provides almost instantaneous data to the corporate sector with regard to the candidates available for consideration towards placement in accordance with the preserved requirements. Indeed, we have been appreciated more often by the industrial houses for this special feature embedded in our work philosophy. To coordinate the placement activities the college has a separate placement cell. The placement cell manages its activities collectively by the students and all head of departments. The Placement cell has adopted an effective communication system to keep the students informed about potential job opportunities and guide from time to time. Our placement officer is often visiting different types of companies (both ITs and Non ITs) and meeting its HRs to invite them for a campus recruitment, to arrange inplant training and to make the arrangement of projects works in the final year. The Placement and Training Cell is intensely concentrating the following regular activities: 1. Pre placement training programs is being conducted to all final year students focused towards Soft skills and Technology which are relevant to their core subjects. 2. Regular Aptitude test practices. 3. Group Discussion Rehearsal 4. Mock Interviews 5. Communication Skills Preparation (Using Top class language software like ROSSETA STONE, TELL ME MORE and CLARITY) As a conclusion placement department is functioning with the commitment to determined placement every year and every department.
