ARNALDO d'ASSUNCAO BRAZ RECEIVES HIS CROWN

On January 12, 1993, Evangelist Arnaldo Braz, 77 years old, passed away. He had been ill for a few months previous to his death. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them." Rev. 14:13 Bro. Braz was one of the first men we came in contact with after arriving in Portugal in August 1981. His house was the place for many of our first meetings and through the years he was very faithful In his commitment to Jesus and to the spread of His Kingdom. He was preparing another sermon to preach in February at the time of his death. He has left a legacy to the Kingdom in two of his sons, David and Luis, and his daughter-in-law. All are serving the Lord and are active in the Church.

Fernando Pereira is one of whom it could be

MANY PEOPLE HELP WITH MINISTRY

FATHER'S DAY AND MOTHER'S DAY

As strange as it may seem, both Father's and Mother's Day are celebrated at different times
than the rest of the world. On the 19th of

Luis and Lucia Braz have been helping out in several areas of the work here. During sever al services each month Luis is worship leader and rotates the preaching with Dick and Robert. From time to time Lucia helps him with the congregational singing as well as special music. For us it is an encouragement to have this young couple serving the Lord.
NEW YOUTH TRIO

March Portugal celebrates Father's Day. The first Sunday in May is Mother's Day. There were 9 fathers present on their day and 17 mothers present on their day. An effort is made to recognize these special days and "to give honor to whom honor is due."

Jonatas, Samuel, and Marcos got together one Sunday in June and presented a special number for the Church. One sees these guys playing, running, arguing, and singing to gether. They also play a good tamborine for
the regular services'.

The youth have been more "than willing to

sing, play, present dramas and participate in almost every aspect of ministry at the Church.
For this we praise the Lord.
