Changing Pull-down menu: Format Point Style


Command: DDPTYPE

Style (note- Command: PDMODE ,
Change its value for required type)

Drawing Draw toolbar:


Pull-down menu: Draw Ellipse
Ellipse
Command: ELLIPSE or EL
Drawing z You can draw elliptical arcs by using
ELLIPSE command .
Elliptical z You can define the arc limits by
Arcs following options:

1. Start and End angle of the arc


2. Start and Included angle of the arc
3. Specifying Start and End parameters
EXAMPLE:-
1. Start angle -45, end angle 135
2. Start angle -45, included angle 225
3. Start parameter @1,0 and end
parameter @1<225

(DTEXT- Dynamic text)

Justify Options:
z Offers different options for aligning the text
z Alignment refers to the layout of the text.

Object Toolbar: Object Snap


Snap
The term OBJECT SNAP refers to the cursor’s
ability to snap exactly to a geometric point
on an object.
z You can use the cursor menu or Object Snap Toolbar
z You can access the cursor menu by holding down the Shift key
on the key board and then pressing the right button of your two
button mouse.

Some frequently used object snap modes:


z NEArest – The NEArest object snap mode selects a point on
an object (line, arc, circle etc.) that is visually closest to the
graphic cursor (crosshair).
z ENDpoint – The ENDpoint object snap mode selects closest
endpoint of a line or an arc.
z MIDpoint- The MIDpoint object snap mode selects mid point
of a line or an arc.
z INTersection – The INTersection object snap mode selects a
point where two or more objects intersect.
z CENter – The CENter object snap mode selects the center
point of an ellipse, circle or arc.
z TANgent – The TANgent object snap allows you to draw a
tangent to or from an existing ellipse, arc or circle.
z QUAdrant – The QUAdrant object snap mode selects a
quadrant point of an ellipse, circle or arc.
z PERpendicular – The PERpendicular object snap mode is used
to draw a line perpendicular to or form another line / normal of
an arc or circle.
z NODe – The NODe object snap mode selects a point drawn by
a POINT command.
z INSert – The INSert object snap mode selecta a insertion point
of text, block etc.
z NONE – The NONE object snap mode turns off any running
object snap.
z TRAcking – The TRAcking can be used to locate points with
respect to another point. It helps users to select orthogonal
points relative to another point.
Running
Cursor menu: Osnap Settings …
Object Pull-down menu: Tools Drafting
Snap Settings
Command: OSNAP or OS

( You can turn the running objrct snap ON or


OFF by pressing F3 key.)

Go to editing commands
