Mother Days 2

Mother's Day is celebrated in many countries, but with different meanings, dates, and traditions based on each culture. In most places, it is a modern holiday derived from the American tradition, but some countries already had celebrations honoring motherhood that then incorporated aspects of the US holiday like giving carnations. The date it is celebrated varies widely from country to country, falling anywhere from March to October. In some locations, it has strong religious connections to the Virgin Mary in Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy.
