Megan Jacobs Longview, WA 2014-05-30 Myself and several other people I know were personally threatened and bullied
by Michael Carter! We need a principle and superintendent that makes people
prideful to go to RJSHS! Not someone who runs the school into the ground!
wilbur puckett rainier, OR 2014-05-30 Issues with students
Andrea Freund Rainier, OR 2014-05-30 I had problems with sexual harassment from male faculty. When brought to
Michael Carter's attention, I was told not to put myself out there in a sexual
way. He does not care about the well being of his students.
Derrick Moore Longview, WA 2014-05-30 this guy has NO concern for human life.
Debbie Liasjo Vancouver, WA 2014-05-30 Bullying needs to stop & if the school doesn't stand up for those being bullied
or for those reporting it then they are just as bad!
Amanda Massey Rainier, OR 2014-05-30 It sems like nothing ever gets done. Bullying has been a big issue at Rainier
Jr/Sr High School and not even the superintendent will do anything about it. So
he should not be in power bring someone else in who will actually make a
difference.
Teresa Gollihugh Rainier, OR 2014-05-30 There are too many incidences that have occurred over the years. He is a
bully to adults and students. He needs to be gone.
Tauna Bittel-Greif St. Helens, OR 2014-05-30 Students should not fear, or be bullied from an adult in school.
Brandon Teschner Mechanicsville, VA 2014-05-30 Carter has time and time again rejected the need to do anything about multiple
different situations including a physical assult problem
Kristin Priester Bay City, OR 2014-05-30 Lived in the area for 5 years and there has been nothing but problem with this
man
Darlene Medford Rainier, OR 2014-05-30 I had a child in this school and had some bullying issues went to principle
several times nothing ever done the bullying continued. I went to police and
reported it and after reporting back to school it had stopped. This was several
yrs ago. But heard of incident happen and 1 was fired and 1 whom stays
employed there still done similar same thing. Also had a ordeal where my son
was kicked out for the rest of the yr and 1st 1/2 of next yr. But some who also
was involved with this incident left the SR stay means it was close to the end of
the yr for them to graduate.

Lisa Dalling young ward, UT 2014-05-31 2 yrs ago my son BRENT was bullied at school by 2 boys. we went to carter
multiple times to stop the bullying. IT NEVER GOT FIXED. my son lived
through it by a thin thread. CARTER and the staff NEEDS TO LISTEN... or
GET OUT! they do not need to be our schools leadership and not lead it right...
Charlotte Glor Deer Island, OR 2014-05-31 He does not care about our schools and the students. Mr Carter is so wrapped
up in his self that he does not care. We need some one new! I am so glad my
kids are out. Please people let's get him and Ms Kash out as well.
Diane Eshleman Tuscaloosa, AL 2014-05-31 Bullying should be ban. It seriously effect a student. And parent intrust the
superintendent to keep their kids safe while they are at school.
Holly Hilton Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 This school has gotten so bad. Mr. Carter is a bully himself not only to students
but co-workers and parents alike. He needs to be stopped.
heath Rhodes Carlton, OR 2014-05-31 No corrupt people should have any sort of power

Letty Abbott Clatskanie, OR 2014-05-31 I'm signing because my children and numerous other family members have
gone to this school
Kayla Mixer St Helens, OR 2014-05-31 This must stop
Joseph Loidhamer Longview, WA 2014-05-31 He has just been very ineffective. With the pool incident and now this, it's just
ridiculous. There needs to be ACTUAL authority. The fact that a suspension
was stopped because of a sports game just goes to show how NOT serious
they take these things. It's not just Carter though.
Sarah George longview, WA 2014-05-31 A superintendent is suppose to serve his school district and the students in it.
They are why he has a job. For him to treat a situation with such
unprofessionalism then he does not deserve to have his job. If the boy would
have acted on his threats, the acts of bullying would have become a serious
issue. Thank goodness he didn't and thank goodness he has someone who will
do anything to protect him!

because he does noting about bullying and he bullies us kids to.
Kellie Kenis Portland, OR 2014-05-31 Rainier is my hometown, and it's sickening to see this type of behavior by the
school district's administration. It must stop. Students should NEVER feel afraid
to approach teachers, counselors, principals, or superintendents when they are
witnesses or victims of bullying.
kalani adsuara rainier, OR 2014-05-31 because they say they will do something about bullying but dnt so those who
are bullied try to harm there selfs or others that are conserned try to help but
get suspended
kailyann workman rainier, OR 2014-05-31 Cuz carters a dick
Chantell Keegan Glenrock, WY 2014-05-31 Michael Carter has done very little good for our district or our town. It's time for
an adminstrator that cares more about their students than lining their own
pockets. It's time for change!
Verna Cuthbertson Moyie Springs, ID 2014-05-31 Zero Tolerance for Bullies!
terra vankirk rainier, OR 2014-05-31 because I want the kids to be safe and cause they want the kids to not be
bullies and same with the parents yet they don't do anything about it besides
suspend the kids that are being bullied and standing up for that kid
Connie Bertrand Spring Valley, CA 2014-05-31 My grandkids went to Rainier School. I remember that many of the kids had
problems. Thankfully y grads left the area and finished school in another area
mike menuey [Link], OR 2014-05-31 Its a place to learn and be safe not a prison where you need fear to control
people
Teena Abbott Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 Students should not fear doing the right thing.
Andrew Ventris Scappoose, OR 2014-05-31 In light of his current situation he has lost the trust of many in the community
he's been hired to maintain.
Alexi Bernhardy Clatskanie, OR 2014-05-31 I graduated from RJSHS and it bothers me greatly the way that the
administration handled the situation. Someone needs to step down, and that
someone should be Mr. Carter.
Christian Leedom Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 He made my nephu lie in front of cops
Craig Coughlin St. Helens, OR 2014-05-31 This guys a dirtbag. He needs removed.

thinking? It's time to play hard ball with him
Chere' Collier Warrenton, OR 2014-05-31 What he did was wrong and he should be punished for it. He should not be
allowed to be in Authority
Johnathon Sprinzl Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 Mr. Carter needs to go down
Michelle Hryciw Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 After having many dealings myself with Mr. Carter in my opinion he may talk to
you but it is a hurried up conversation. I honestly don't think he really listens to
what people are saying. Personally I think no matter what you say or how u feel
he really doesn't care. It's not all about the kids it's passify you for his job
security.
Schaffer Horton Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 I want my cousin to feel safe when she reaches high-school. This man doesn't
provide an effective and safe environment for students. We need someone we
can trust to keep students safe.
michelle mullins North Bend, OR 2014-05-31 I don't feel any student should bully other students but it just floors me on how
many adults that are suppose to protect our children when we can't are the
true bullies @ schools. I was picked on growing up but nothing like our poor
children have to face daily. This superintendent should be allowed to be
working with kids. Some people should act their ages not their true IQ's..
Randi Dimbatt Mesa, AZ 2014-05-31 He has been neglecting his higher purpose as an educator with the Rainier
School District for far too long. Working for a school means your number one
priority is student safety. He has failed at ensuring students emotional and
physical safety for too many years now.
Cray McDaniel Oklahoma City, OK 2014-05-31 Michael Carter is one of the many reasons I truly hated my entire experience at
Rainier Jr/Sr. Ridiculous policies, as well as his incompetence has caused a
school that was once great to degrade into a corrupted school system that is a
blight to the American Public Education system. Time and time again he has
shown a disgusting lack of interest of what actually happens on the campus
and what is going on in the lives of students, and only what will make things
easier for him. His removal will be anything but an inconvenience to the district.
Jared Hadlock Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 I would not want my future kids around this phony piece of trash, pour excuse
for a role model.
Ardith roberts Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 I have 4 grand children in this pathetic school system.
Pantera LaMon Portland, OR 2014-05-31 I used to go to this school last year and half of the year before and most of my
old friends are standing up for this cause and I want to stand up and make a
difference... If I still went to that school I would have been part of that walkout!
Jenifer Van Riper Columbia City, OR 2014-05-31 Former student of Rainier High School that believes bullying should not be
taken lightly. It can lead children to commit suicide or self harm. Policies should
be in place and no tolerance should be enforced!
alyssa mccollam rainier, OR 2014-05-31 because he needs to get his acts up and help bullying not ingnore it im tired of
this crap he needs to leave #dylon #nayt
Denise Brunswick Apple Valley, MN 2014-05-31 I still own a house in the school district. I pulled my kids from this school and
ongoing issues at the school are a major reason we left the state and found
better education elsewhere.
Denise Brunswick Apple Valley, MN 2014-05-31 I would like to add that Michael Carter tried bullying ME when I caught him in a
lie. Thankfully, I knew the laws and wouldn't let him run me over. How can
someone who uses bullying tactics himself eliminate bullying among students?
For the sake of the children, please end this cycle of abuse.

Donovan Volk Clatskanie, OR 2014-05-31 When he came to Clatskanie when the 2 districts shared students he was rude
and basicly said this is the way its going to be and left .
denise haagenson st. helens, OR 2014-05-31 Our kids need to feel safe and have a support system within their schools that
they feel they can trust. Michael Carter is someone who should lead by
example. This is not a man I want my teenage son looking up to and/or show
respect to just because of the Superintendent position he holds.
Melinda Linn Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 He Is A Bully Towards Staff Too. He Has Used Profanity When Upset With
Staff As Well. I Know This From Several Staff Members I Am FriendsWith.
Katie Boursaw Mons, Belgium 2014-05-31 My little brother goes to that school currently and he is terrified of middle
school. I don't want him in a school with a man who can create a constant fear
for him. My father has lived in that town all his life and I've gone over seas, I
visit every summer and if I see my brother upset because a principal has
threatened him or hurt him in any way, I would want to fire him myself. If other
people have shivers in their bones because of a man who runs the school
passes him or his presence is by him, something is very wrong and should be
changed.
Debra Hendrix Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 No child should every feel that if they go to a staff member of a school for
something they feel is unsafe like Bullying . Things need to change .
michael broome rainier, OR 2014-05-31 my grand children go to this school
Candy Brown Castle Rock, WA 2014-05-31 No child should not feel safe in a school, we pay teachers and stff to protect
our children, not bully and humiliate them.
Charlene West Oceanside, CA 2014-05-31 I work at a school and this would not be acceptable to treat students who report
bullying this way.
Dolly Williamson Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 He does not do his job well! We need someone who really cares and wants to
be involved with the children in Rainier!
Seanna Bozarth Rainier, OR 2014-05-31 I have a son that goes to this school. he have dealt with the bullying due to him
being disabled with no help from him. I went to the other boy's parents.
Chana Feely Longview, WA 2014-05-31 We are trying to teach our kids that being a bully is wrong and you need to stick
up for the ones being bullied. I feel it is wrong for someone in Michael Carter's
position to be the bully to students, parents and staff.
jen Ervast Seaview, WA 2014-05-31 I graduated from Rainier in 1994. I had such a wonderful experience at that
school, I hate to see the bullying coming from a member of the staff. School
should be a safe place for children.
KIMBERLY SIMPSON Clatskanie, OR 2014-05-31 My Daughter starts kindergarten this year In Rainier even though we live in
Clatskanie. I do not want my daughter going to a school where their is a
superintendent like this. If he is still there next year I will do everything i can to
get her into Clatskanie! For now all I can do is help by signing this petition.
Christopher Taylor Portland, OR 2014-05-31 Michael Carter has been an inept and out of touch administrator in Rainier for a
decade, and the school system has suffered for it, for both teachers and
students. The time for someone new is now, if not ten years ago.
brent dalling youngward, UT 2014-05-31 When i was leaving sixth grade there, i was bullied really bad. And a he did
was tell them to stop. But it still continued.
Trillium Allison Camas, WA 2014-05-31 Bullying is a major issue and many schools always try to put on a front that
they are against it; but when you go to them for help with a problem, they don't
help. He obviously isnt fulfulling his duties by trying to keep kids safe. He
definitely should be removed.
Elizabeth Booth Richland, WA 2014-05-31 My husband and many of our friends and family have graduated from Rainier
High School and have had similar experiences with Mr. Carter over the years. I
do not feel he should be representing the community in this manner.

Deborah Opielowski McAllen, TX 2014-05-31 From what I have been able to ascertain, his administration does much more
harm than good to children!
Stephanie camacho Kingman, AZ 2014-05-31 I was bullied throughout highschool and the teachers never did anything. I tried
to kill myself at the age of thirteen because it was relentless and I felt I had no
way out. If teachers would have stepped in at the right moment I feel as if I
might have been spared that trauma and I wouldn't have had to undergo major
counseling and psychiatric treatments as a result of my suicide attempt.
Bullying is wrong. Adults like us have the power to stop it.
Kevin Schatzlein Pendleton, OR 2014-05-31 People put in a position where they can make changes need to do just that.
Help the people you care for, not send them down darker paths. I can not stand
for injustice like this so he should be terminated for not doing what is blatently
right.
Evan Brunswick Apple Valley, MN 2014-05-31 I was once a former student at Rainier High and I have to say i am quite
disappointed in Mr. Carter. i know just how bad the bullying issue is at rainier
and i can tell you from this that it has not changed, perhaps it has even gotten
worse. From personal experience not only are the principals incompetent and
unwilling to do anything to help others, but Mr. Carter himself does not do
anything unless it betters his personal position. He pretends to know what he is
doing, and when he is questioned he will proceed to bully the questioner. I
believe that if you want to work at a high school, you should listen to your
students and try to help them, and not because it makes you look better. Mr.
Carter is not deserving of the position and needs to be removed from his
position and possibly from the education department entirely. He has failed his
duty as the superintendent of Rainier High School.
Eric Hazen Longview, WA 2014-06-01 He failed to do his job and protect the students he's responsible for.
Jessica Jaynes Idaho Falls, ID 2014-06-01 Because bullying is completly wrong and anybody allowing it to happen should
be removed from any leadership position involving children of any age
Lois Young Woodville, VA 2014-06-01 We need to stop allowing this kind of behaviour. How many tragedies need to
take place before we stand up and protect those that truly need us.
Amanda Fox Rainier, OR 2014-06-01 Our kids should be heard!
Rebecca Abraham Longview,, WA 2014-06-01 As Educators, Administrators, and those charged to keep our children safe in
our schools, it is our moral and legal obligation to listen to their petitions and
concerns, not to side step or dismiss them. The students put their trust in us,
and EXPECT results. We serve them, right??!
Patty johnson oklahoma city, OK 2014-06-01 He is more of a bully then the students . If you want bulling to stop you have to
start at the top and work down . Children should feel save in school ! People
like Michael Carter do not care about our kids , he only care about his job !
james kuzma old bethpage, NY 2014-06-01 This is disgusting
Stacey McKay Clatskanie, OR 2014-06-01 I have had so many of the same issues with Mr. Carter, Mrs. Kash (his wife and
spec ed director), along with Mrs. J. I filed a due process hearing against the
school already this year, for a lot of the same issues here and more!Parents
need to unite and stand behind these children..they can't stand alone! I can't
stress that enough. A change NEEDS to happen and it starts with Carter.
Kenneth Curtis Rainier, OR 2014-06-01 The safety of the students in Rainier schools does not seem to be a priority to
Mr. Carter. He would rather have a student suspended for getting upset when
nothing is done about bullying in his schools. I had to pull my daughter out of
Rainier and put her in school for an ignored bullying incident, and now it is
happening again.
Jessica Anderson Rainier, OR 2014-06-01 He ignored me while i was being bullied and told my mom its my fault for acting
weird.

superintendent that doesn't do his job.
Amanda Lomasney Longview, WA 2014-06-01 As a superintendent you are suppose to be fair and protect the kids that need
protecting. He has obviously proven unfit for the job and needs to be removed.
Barbie Earls longview, WA 2014-06-02 My nephew went to Rainier school and he was bullied and nothing was ever

averyanne dean rainier, OR 2014-06-02 he is just a bad person and I have also had problem with being bullied and he

Trevor Hawkins St. Helens, OR 2014-06-02 Because i'm against bullying and people who support it shouldn't hold positions

Belinda Wise Fairfield, IA 2014-06-02 Went to school when Michael Carter became Principal and was glad I didn't

Katie House Clatskanie, OR 2014-06-02 We are actually moving to a new school district this summer specifically so our
son will NOT have to attend school in the Rainier School district. The thought of
Mr. Carter being allowed to remain in his position of employment his horrific! I
personally know students who have been bullied and reported it only to have
NOTHING done about it. This man is bringing a bad reputation to the school.
For allowing cruelty and bullying to run rampant in the school that this man is
supposed to be in charge of...he should be ashamed of himself!
Travis House Clatskanie, OR 2014-06-02 Time for a change. The students deserve better.

Treena Hansen Washougal, WA 2014-06-02 If someone is in authority they should honor the position they hold with the
utmost integrity. I will not tolerate apathy. You either take pride in your position,
or you find another one that best suits your strengths and convictions.
Someone who is in the postion or rank of leading others and having a say
should measure their motives. Nobility, morality, truth, integrity should ones
shield..not cowardliness, apathy, delusion, contention, and harassment. Let me
put it this way, you lead a young one down a crocked path, be careful you don't
fall in your own trap.
Ayla Guerassio Beaverton, OR 2014-06-02 I was bullied as a kid and had no one to help me either with the exception of

Deborah Reynolds Rainier, OR 2014-06-03 I no longer have a dog in this fight as my children have all graduated. I am
concerned that people will have to do what I did, pull my child out and send her
to a different district because she was so badly bullied at Rainier. She was a
2010 graduate, but not from this school. I experienced similar difficulties and
realized that it was silly to have my child in counseling because the other
students couldn't behave and the administration would not help the situation.
crystal sharp Rainier, OR 2014-06-03 I have had mulitple run ins and being bullied by this school and had to get the
department of civil rights involved to get anything done, and still nothing was
done. It took moving out of district to accomplish anything. Carter is not
someone you need running your schools!!!
Cathy West Clatskanie, OR 2014-06-03 Children need a loving, wholesome atmosphere in order to learn and to be
happy. Rainier School under Mr Carter does not provide this.
Brenda Brown Cathlamet, WA 2014-06-03 Because bullying is a HUGE issue in schools with children, but to have a
Superintendent that is supposed to set an example teach kids that it is ok to be
a bully. This guy has been doing this for WAAAAAAAYYYYYY too long. He
has been questioned many times in the past for his actions, and philosophies
but always got out of them and all was in his favor.
Stacy Schaffner Tenino, WA 2014-06-03 With the recent problems and past problems with this Superintendent it's time
for him to go. Yes he has done good but a lot of the bad that has happened out
weighs the good.
Sasha Holman Portland, OR 2014-06-03 I grew up in Rainier and went to Rainier Elementary, Middle School and High
School. I have always been proud to be a graduate of Rainier HS and a
member of the volleyball team that won the state championship in 1992 my
senior year. This situation disappoints me in the worst way. The use of black
mail and threats to derail a students future by holding his diploma is appalling.
Threatening to not let him take part in the graduation ceremony if he doesn't
keep quiet is just vindictive. Then to delay punishment so that Naythan can
play in a baseball game just shows exactly how none of the administration took
this situation seriously. A winning team makes the school look good and in turn
shines a positive light on Mr. Carter. Any positive light should be shone on
Naython for being proactive and adamant when the life of a fellow student was
in danger. Lastly, the administration has only given negative comments on
Naythons actions and not once said anything about him doing what was right
and bringing the threat to a counselor and not ignoring the threat.
Rhonda Reger Clatskanie, OR 2014-06-03 He bullied and threatened us too. I want to help fight back. I now have no fear
of his of retaliation because I took my child out of that school district.
Christine Dorning Chehalis, WA 2014-06-03 Have granddaughter that is attending this school has been bullied constantly.
