Education should consist of a series of enchantments, each raising the individual to a
higher level of awareness, understanding, and kinship with all living things. Education should be
the soul of a society for it demands to pass from one generation to another. It should be a
continuing process, never ending and demands to be felt by all individuals for we know that
education is more than a luxury; it is a responsibility that society owes to itself.
Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which the knowledge, skills, and
habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next through teaching,
training, or research. Education frequently takes place under the guidance of others, but may
also be autodidactic. Any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or
acts may be considered educational.
All professions start their important tasks by defining clearly their objectives and
determining the procedures they will follow in order to reach the desired end. In all of these,
teachers who considered their profession as a solemn vow to mold many of the young minds
are expected to be knowledgeable and dedicated in order to impart information that will lead
them to achieve intended learning goals.
Teachers more than any practitioners must be empowered learners. In and out of the
classroom, he or she is an active constructor of concepts. By the nature of his/ her daily
functions he/she is in the best position to provide students ample opportunities to create their
own understanding. (Salandanan)
Teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge and wisdom in
the pupils. Even in eternity the teachers cannot tell where and when his influence stops.
Everyone of us, including our nations president and all of our influential persons in the world is
the product of teaching. Teaching helps in order to mold ones good future.
Teaching is not just a job but a noble profession and vocation. It is both calling from God
and a calling from youth which is worthy of response. As a teacher, we adopt a very different
role in everyday situation. Teachers should have the strength of body, mind and soul to be able
to become an effective educator. Teaching is not just about sharing knowledge and imparting
moral and ethical values but it is how you are going to touch the lives of each individual that you
may encounter on the process of teaching.
The University of Batangas is one of the best performing schools which develop and
produce competent educators. Guided by the mission, vision,and philosophy, University of
Batangas continues in providing students of high quality education. Tracking and searching for
the status of graduates on their field of specialization as well as the condition of their chosen
career is a must in updating the educational development of UB. Tracing the education
graduates fot the betterment of the university, department and students as well.
University of Batangas, College of Education is considered as one of the best
department which has been qualified for accreditation and has been proved for they helped to
develop the students skills, knowledge and virtues. They also provide programs and seminar
which can help in further development of their intellectual, social, spiritual, moral and physical
aspects of students being.
The education of the young is a highly complex matter and is at risk of being, totally lost
when it becomes the subject of simplistic forms of planning. University of Batangas, College of
Education helps its graduates to become a worthy citizens, highly competitive professionals and
undeniably the best individuals.
Significance of the Study
This study is conducted not merely to help the researchers to fulfill and satisfies the
research but rather it is done in order to know and trace the graduates of Bachelor in Secondary
Education graduates of (year).
The results that may absorb in the study will be a great contribution to students, to
school, to the administration, to the teachers and most importantly to the future researchers for
they will provide a clearer and more accurate perspective about the significance of tracing the
graduates of university.
To the school administrators, the study will serve as an eye opener to guide teachers in
improving their capabilities and strategies of teaching and to for the enhancement of the
curriculum design to be use.
To the teachers of whom served as the key to the enrichment of educational process
and a great provider of the knowledge that will help for the improvement of educational program.
To the future researchers, this study will guide them in the continuous tracing of the
graduates in conducting a new study.
