5S Philosophy
The concept of 5S was developed in Japan in the early 1980s as the five
principles to a total quality environment.
5S originates from the Japanese:
Seiri or organisation
Seiton or neatness
Seiso or cleanliness
Seiketsu or standardise
Shitsuke or discipline
This has been adapted into English terms.
