A Note from the Pastor

Another exciting week is in the books at PRBC. God
is good, and it is still exciting to see Him moving in
our church. Last week Bridget was sweeping the
carport at home while the girls played outside.
Raegan asked her, Why do you like to clean?
Bridget replied, I like our house to be clean.
Raegan thought for a minute and said, I like our
house to be very clean...when you clean it by
yourself.
There is never a dull moment in our house. Things
are more exciting right now because our children
are still young enough to say what they think and
to tell the truth (most of the time). I would never
admit it to Bridget, but I feel the same way that
Raegan does. I like the house to be clean, but I like
it better when someone else does the hard work.
Spiritual things are very much the same. As
Christians and church members, we want the
church to grow, we would like to see ministries
expanding and membership increasing, but it is
easy for us to slip into a childish mentality where
we expect someone else to do the work. We like to
see people accepting Christ as long as someone
else is doing the hard work of evangelism.

We need to be constantly reminded that we all

have a job a mission given to us by our Maker and
Savior. We cannot wait for someone else because
they may be waiting on us. Great things are
happening at our church, God is working. He is
calling each of us to do something. What are we
waiting for? It is time to stop watching and get to
work.

If you want to work,

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday. Have a
