Simply Sachin!!!

“Hundred crores people of this country have already crowned

Sachin as Bharat Ratna, Sachin does not need anyone's
recommendation to be awarded Bharat Ratna. He is already one,
Shivaji Maharaja used to vanquish Moghuls on battlefield. Similarly,
Sachin is a warrior on cricket battlefield. Such warriors are born
only in Maharashtra,"- Bala saheb Thackerey

“I saw him playing on television and was struck by his technique,

so I asked my wife to come look at him. Now I never saw myself
play, but I feel that this player is playing much the same as I used
to play, and she looked at him on Television and said yes, there is a
similarity between the two”- Sir Don Bradman

"You know genius when you see it. And let me tell you, Sachin is
pure genius."-Braine Lara

He is the record breaker. He is the record maker. He is the record in himself.

He needs no introduction. Only the name is enough for the introduction. He
is no other than the master blaster Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

On the 24th February, 2010 he showed the world that nothing is impossible in
the world after completing the double tons in the Gwalior ODI against South
Africa. Sachin Tendulkar is holding about 70 world records in his name in
international cricket. Sachin is the man who has every record in his name,
you name it and he has it. Be it highest scorer in ODI, Most runs in test
matches, 100 tons in first class cricket, double tons in ODI, the only player to
have 150 wickets and more than 15,000 runs in ODI, the only player to have
about 25,016 runs in international cricket which includes 14,537 runs in Test
matches, 10,469 runs in ODI matches and 10 runs in T20 matches and the
list is endless.

Sachin Tendulkar was born in Mumbai and started his cricketing career
during his school days under the guidance of his coach Ramakant Achrekar.
He used to pass maximum time in the nets practicing for the batting. When
he became exhausted his coach used to put a 1 rupee coin on the top of the
stumps. He uses to tell that the bowler who dismissed Sachin would get the
coin or if he remains till the end then he would get the coin. Today, Sachin
considers those 13 coins the most precious thing of his life. His partnership
with his friend and team mate Vinod Kambli of 664 runs in the Lord Harris
Shield, in the year 1988 was the starting point of his career.

He played his first international test match on 15th November, 1989 against
Pakistan in Karachi at the age of 16. He made only 15 runs. His first ODI was
on 18th December, 1989 against Pakistan. From then he started his
international career. The period from 1994-1999 was very good for him. His
one of the best matches was the game against Pakistan in sharjah in the
year 1996, where Sachin and Navjot Singh Sidhu made the record of the
second wicket partnership. He further continued his form and in the year
1996 he was declared the leading run scorer at the Cricket world cup. He
continued to enjoy his great form, and in 1998 he made 3 consecutive
centuries. He made 141 runs in just 128 balls in ICC 1998 quarterfinal at
Dhaka against Australia and took 4 wickets in the same match.

In the year 1996 he took over as the captain of the team, but he failed as the
captain as team performed very bad by the year 1997. But his individual
performance was not affected and he was performing at a regular pace. His
decline phase started in nearly 2002 as he started losing his great form and
he started to get injure which affected his play. This remained till 2006,
meanwhile during this period he played some good innings as well. In
February, 2006 he made his 39th ODI hundred against Pakistan. On 19th
March, 2006 booed off the ground when he made a single run of 21 balls
against England in Wankhede ground by the crowd. He was at the verge of
getting the retirement from the game. BCCI announced that he was fit and
they gave selected him for another series.

He then returned to his old form and now when he comes down in the
ground he has a record waiting for him to break. It is the best phase of his
life on the cricketing front. He showed the people that he has the capacity of
winning the game on his only shoulders. Today he is the man who has
achieved almost everything. He wants to be a part of the team winning the
World Cup. He showed that he can play any format of cricket. He is the part
of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. Sachin showed his talent in the T20 form as
well.

Many people have said many things about him but he had proved all of them
wrong. Recently the debate is going on whether to give him the Bharta Ratna
award or not. Many big names are coming in his favour. He is not only well
known on the ground but he is one of the most demanded personalities in
the advertising world. He is the brand ambassador of many products. Sachin
is the only player who has his wax idol in the Madame Tusades museum in
London. He is the person who believes in the charity work as well. He
sponsors around 200 underprivileged children every year through Apnalaya
(NGO in Mumbai). He also plays game for the charity. Recently he played 2
matches for charity. 1 against Sehwag and one against sourav Ganguly for
charity work.

Not only his former and recent team mates say but when the legendry
cricketers also says that it is the privilege to see Sachin Tendulkar playing in
front of us in the ground there is nothing more left to say.
